About Dr. Lora Friedrich, MSW, PhD

Maybe you are grieving the loss of a loved one, bogged down by a traumatic experience, or you’re simply tired of being tired. Perhaps you feel your family is dysfunctional and you want to communicate more clearly. Or do you feel unhappiness and pain that has gone on too long? These feelings are temporary – your issues do not define you. I am passionate about working with people who are willing to make a change. Healing is not an easy or quick process, but it is so worth it. As your therapist, I will support you to as you work towards your goals. I practice understanding and compassion towards clients. I was in the Peace Corps, I worked with families in Child Protective Services, I worked in Thailand on anti-trafficking, and I was a professor of sociology and social work.
