About Dr. Zuniga-Montes
Luis Zuniga-Montes, MD, is an exceptional physician at Arthritis Associates in San Antonio, Texas. He is board-certified in internal medicine and rheumatology.
Dr. Zuniga-Montes earned his medical degree at the University of Caldas in Manizales, Colombia. He completed internal medicine and rheumatology fellowships at Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York.
Dr. Zuniga-Montes joined Arthritis Associates in 2011. Prior to that, he was an associate professor of rheumatology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He also worked as a staff rheumatologist at the San Antonio Audie L. Murphy Memorial VA Hospital.
Dr. Zuniga-Montes maintains his credentials with continuing education to stay current with the latest advances in rheumatology and internal medicine. He’s a member of the Bexar County Medical Society, Texas Medical Society, and American College of Rheumatology.

Excellent and professional service by everyone.
Upon entering their office, everything was proper and clean, staff always ready to assist with answering questions, registration, very friendly atmosphere. Dr Montes is not in a rush to get you in and out, he will explain anything to you about your visit with him. Overall 5 stars.

Dr. Zuniga is great and very personable. Takes time to explain his prognosis so you understand. Made my appointment a nice experience.
My only gripe is the fact that they are real fast to get us to the back area by appointment time, but they will leave you in the exam room for a good 20-30 minutes before the doctor comes in. I guess that is to make their quota that they took you by appointment time? I'd rather sit in the waiting room watching TV or people watching personally, than sitting in the exam room all by yourself for 30 minutes
