I have been suffering with pain in my upper right thigh, my Dr. Sam recommended ai go see an ortho surgeon, so ai went to see Dr. Kwartowitz on January 16, 2026, i had an X-ray on my right leg, and after that the doctor said I hadShow more severe arthritis in my right hip at age 84, he gave me a shot of cortisone in my right hip, he told me to walk around a little bit immediately I had no more pain, he said the shot could last about 4 months, praise the lord, great doctor. I never waited more than 5 min in the waiting room area. The PA was professional and friendly, and escorted me to the exam room.. Within five minutes I had an x-ray taken and was back in waiting for the Dr.. A minute later, I sShow moreaw Dr. Mark . The healing of my knee was discussed and evaluated and my questions were answered .Dr. Is friendly and listens. I have never had an appointment where I wasn’t waiting ! I was seen promptly, xrays taken & physician explained my options. Very thorough.
Dr. K is absolutely amazing. Thirteen years ago he repaired my very damaged rotator cuff - took over four hours. My PT marveled at the quality of the procedure - he said it was perfect. After six months of PT, my shoulder was as good as new. However, if you are not serious about the rehab, you won't have the results I experienced. Recently, I received three gel injections into my knee - I know, getting older stinks. As painful as they are, the results are very good. Dr. K is the best!

Dr. Mark Kwartowitz excels in what he does. His ability to establish comfort and quickly understand what's at hand with any given issue and then present it with the right level of seriousness makes visits feel well-paced and thorough. Never rushed but never overwrought -- his smart assessments and knack for presenting solutions make for a world-class experience. I live in Detroit but will always drive the miles to tend to my Sports (or frankly daily living) issues, incidents or discomforts.

Had TKR yesterday, home by 11am great first 2 days no pain yet everything clean and great, staff at BHSC are all great Dr K is the best in up and almost walking without the walker already , I have over 90 degree bend rate and almost straight by 2nd day !

Dr. Kwartowitz is an outstanding surgeon. I've seen him to have a hip replacement and now for knee surgery. He takes the time to explain the entire procedure and what to expect. I won't go anywhere else for my surgical needs! I've referred multiple friends and neighbors to him and they all rave about their experience.
I had no wait time while in the waiting room. I was taken back to a room quickly and then taken for x-rays. The doctor came in shortly after and the visit was great.

Due to cancellation, I was able to get in right away to see Dr. Kwartowitz. The staff is efficient and friendly. He expertly administered a cortisone shot in my knee which has alleviated some pain, immediately. Excellent job on a total hip replacement last December and will likely need a knee replacement on the opposite leg in the near future. I will return to Dr. Kwartowitz. Prepare questions in advance as he quickly leaves the room once his job is done.
I just went to my six month check up after having a complete knee replacement surgery by Dr Mark Kwartowitz. They x-rayed my knees again. He always shows me my x-rays. He always spends lots of time with me at these appointments. I never feel hurried. He answers all of my questions. I have complete confidence in Dr. Kwartowitz's expertise, and he is very professional. Everyone in the office is efficient and friendly.
