Dr Esposito and his staff explained everything to me before and during the procedure, even letting me know everytime I would feel a pinch from a needle for when he put in deep numbing. Everyone is very thorough (this will be very Show morecold on your back to clean it off and Dr. Esposito told me when he was getting close to sensitive areas. I was very nervous going in because I had not had an ablation before. I took 1 1/2 Valium that they prescribed and that helped me, alot. I have been very happy with the service I've received from everyone in the office. I have had good results from the epidurals I got there and I'm hoping for the same with the ablation.
Everyone there is so great. They really care about their patients. My surgery went without a hitch & my incision healed quickly & perfectly. Michael Esposito, MD, founded the Interventional Spine & Pain Institute – located in Vero Beach and Palm Bay, Florida – in order to create a multidisciplinary, patient-centric practice to treat a wide range of acute and chronic pain syndromes. Dr. Esposito is double board-certified in pain medicine and anesthesia by the American Board of Anesthesiology and is an expert in all aspects of pain medicine.
Dr. Esposito leverages his pain medicine specialty to help patients manage even the most complex pain, treating a wide variety of pain types with comprehensive, personalized, and evidence-based care. He treats chronic and acute pain, including cancer pain, neurological pain, and musculoskeletal pain, while offering each patient a personalized interventional treatment plan that may include tailored physical therapy, medication, and fluoroscopic/ultrasound-guided interventional pain and spine procedures. These procedures include implantable spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulators, radiofrequency ablation, targeted intrathecal drug delivery systems, kyphoplasty, lumbar decompression, and more.
Dr. Esposito’s journey began at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, graduating with Honors, before attending Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. There, he completed his Doctor of Medicine degree before moving on to complete his residency in anesthesiology in the Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care at The University of Chicago Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, where he also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Esposito went on to complete an interventional pain medicine fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital, in Boston, Massachusetts, where he also worked as an anesthesiologist at Massachusetts General Hospital serving veterans in the same capacity at the Veterans Affairs West Roxbury Hospital.
With a passion for teaching, Dr. Esposito extends his expertise to others by serving as an Assistant Professor of anesthesiology at the University of Central Florida and is a resource for medical students, residents, and fellows. He also serves as a key board member for several professional societies, regional organizations, and national boards that are dedicated to advancing treatments in the field of pain medicine. He’s also actively involved in research to find new, minimally invasive ways to treat spinal pain and has served as principal investigator, expert faculty, peer reviewer, and lecturer for several clinical research studies, well-respected journals, and at various nation-wide conferences. Dr. Esposito has greatly contributed to the advancements in pain management technology, patient education forums, and improved patient outcomes, garnering numerous accolades, awards, and recognition for his work, reinforcing his tireless dedication and commitment to advancing treatments in the field of pain medicine.

Dr. Esposito is one of the nicest kindest precise doctors I’ve ever been to. He is a great shot! No pun intended. The injections I have had from him have worked incredibly wonderful and have lasted a while. My lower back has been pain-free the entire week. I am in no pain when I Sleep, get up or any activity during the day.
He is very compassionate with his patients. He explains the procedure. He gives you different options. He doesn’t pressure you. While he does a procedure he lets you know what he is doing.

I would recommend Drs Esposito and Soto over and over. They and their staff are highly professional, friendly and they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I have nothing else to compare to as this was my first time with a pain management doctor. I thought the procedure was good although I didn’t know what to expect. I liked Dr Esposito I thought he was good he answered my questions and took the time to explain. I was disappointed on the follow up appointment after the mri, meeting only with the pa and not with the doctor with whom I had questions for. Also the back brace fitting was not what I expected. The person showed me the brace put it on herself then put it on the bed then left the room.
