My neck was fused back in 2012 and I started to get severe pain in my neck and a revision I was told wasn’t an option since it was a low percentage that it would work. I was advised by my doctor to see pain management for my neck Show morepain. I was hesitant at first since I never had a shot in my neck before. But I’m so glad I did. Dr. Esposito and his staff are amazing. Dr. Esposito explained my options and so I did the first of two injections in my neck to see if that would help with the pain and it did. So the next visit I had an Ablation done and I’ve been pain free ever since. He did advise me the nerves will come back between 6 months to a year and I’ll have to have the ablation done again. I’m now starting the Epidural for my lower back. I had a fusion done on my lower back in 2020 it helped somewhat but if I walked a distance maybe half a block I would get burning pain and my legs felt like they were jello Dr. Esposito did the first epidural but it didn’t work so when I went back for my second epidural he did above the fusion and I have 85% pain free. I would highly recommend Dr. Esposito he takes his time with you and explains what he feels you need to elevate your pain. I’m so grateful to have found him and put my trust in his knowledge and skills.
I will say it was an excellent experience from walking into the office and out the door. Once I filled out all the documents I was called into exam room for further review. No wait time! Awesome! His thorough exam moving my body to confirm his thoughts was on point. Michael Esposito, MD, founded the Interventional Spine & Pain Institute – located in Vero Beach and Palm Bay, Florida – in order to create a multidisciplinary, patient-centric practice to treat a wide range of acute and chronic pain syndromes. Dr. Esposito is double board-certified in pain medicine and anesthesia by the American Board of Anesthesiology and is an expert in all aspects of pain medicine.

Dr. Esposito’s journey began at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, graduating with Honors, before attending Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. There, he completed his Doctor of Medicine degree before moving on to complete his residency in anesthesiology in the Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care at The University of Chicago Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, where he also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Esposito went on to complete an interventional pain medicine fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital, in Boston, Massachusetts, where he also worked as an anesthesiologist at Massachusetts General Hospital serving veterans in the same capacity at the Veterans Affairs West Roxbury Hospital.
With a passion for teaching, Dr. Esposito extends his expertise to others by serving as an Assistant Professor of anesthesiology at the University of Central Florida and is a resource for medical students, residents, and fellows. He also serves as a key board member for several professional societies, regional organizations, and national boards that are dedicated to advancing treatments in the field of pain medicine. He’s also actively involved in research to find new, minimally invasive ways to treat spinal pain and has served as principal investigator, expert faculty, peer reviewer, and lecturer for several clinical research studies, well-respected journals, and at various nation-wide conferences. Have had severe back pain for a very long time. Had my doctor arrange an appointment for me to see Dr. Esposito at ISPI PALM BAY after learning he was back in the immediate area. The staff was so caring and supportive. I left feeling hopeful to begin this new journey after almost giving up.
