Dr. Schmirer has been in practice in Park Slope for over 30 years, and since his retirement, he passed Park Slope Podiatry to the esteemed Dr. Michael Nagelberg. They place their confidence in him because our practice strives to provide superior foot and ankle care to our patients. We work closely with our referring doctors to ensure the most effective and safe treatment plan.
We specialize in numerous areas of podiatric medicine including diabetic foot care and education, sports injuries, fracture care, nail conditions, heel and arch pain, bunion and hammer toes, orthotics and diabetic shoes. We spend quality time with each patient to better understand their foot care needs and to recommend the best course of treatment. We are happy to help with any foot problem, big or small. I never thought I would say this, but I enjoy my visit. It was refreshing to see a physician who love his profession and is very knowledgeable and engaging and his receptionists is courteous and friendly. As old as I am now, wish all my doctors were like him ,but I didn't need any back then

Dr.Nagelberg is super energetic and attentive. He didn’t fix the issue at the clinic, but he gave us great referral and we all feeling very good about the doctor visit.
Dr. Nagelberg is a very good doctor. He tells you all you need to know about your pain and gives you option on what you should do to get relief.He doesn't pressure you into talking pills or surgery. He also asks if you have any questions to please ask. That's comforting to know he really cares.
