Nadia Jafar Curran, MD, is a board-certified internist and cardiologist at COR Healthcare Medical Associates. She specializes in women’s cardiovascular disease, general cardiology, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology.
Dr. Curran earned her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, where she received the Gilda Lipton Memorial Award for compassionate care and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She then moved to San Francisco to complete her internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). During her training, Dr. Curran developed a curriculum that focused on women’s heart disease while researching lifestyle interventions in postpartum women with pregnancy complications. This research resulted in multiple presentations and publications, and informed the most recent guidelines on adverse pregnancy outcomes and cardiovascular disease.
Dr. Curran is excited to join COR Healthcare Medical Associates and brings her expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions, including risk factor assessment, prevention, microvascular dysfunction, coronary artery disease, spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD), valvular heart disease, heart failure and cardiomyopathies, preconception counseling, and pregnancy-related heart health.
When she is not taking care of patients, Dr. Curran enjoys spending time with her husband and exploring all that the South Bay has to offer, including swimming, surfing, and great dining.

Dr Curan is the cardiologist for both my wife and myself. She is a great doctor and never seems hurried or too busy to answer a question. Now that we are both in our 60's, this area of our health is particularly important and with Dr. Curran we feel like we are in good hands.

Great cardiologist
Dr. Curran is very courteous and thorough. She took time to explain everything I needed to know. She recommended a stress test to see how my stents were doing. When the results returned, she saw some red flags and sent me for further testing. The results were that I had additional blockages that needed to be addressed ASAP. Dr. Quran save my life and I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs a cardiologist.
On time, very competent
Dr Curran makes me feel listened to and safe with her suggestions. She orders the necessary tests and her office actually books them without you spending a lot of time trying to get hold of the hospital's phone schedular. I would highly recommend her for any woman. I am 77 years young.

Dr. Curran is a horrible doctor. She has the personality of a dry dead squirrel who has no people skills whatsoever. She comes off as if she knows better what's best for you and has no patience for engaging into your concerns about treatment. She shouldn't be working with patients but should instead lock herself in a closed office somewhere and do research alone. I feel sorry for the associates at Cor Health, and for anybody who has to work with her. You guys sure picked a doozy drip. WARNING: She is prescribing Valsartan, a drug that has been RECALLED and as of August 2024 it is still being recalled, yet she is prescribing it to patients. This medication has been shown to cause cancer! Her judgment is despicably poor! She talked to me as if I was stupid for voicing my concerns over this treatment. Really? She has no clue. Do your research, lady! Want to know the reason why so many people are coming down with cancer? It's because of horrible doctors like this who prescribe bad medications! Appalling!
