I lost my job due to the pandemic and was so worried about switching plans and doctors. Let me just say, I am so happy that I found Dr. Young! She made me feel so comfortable and so much better about the situation. She was easy gShow moreoing, understanding, very kind and she's human! I say that because most doctors seem so rigid and serious. This is my 2nd pregnancy and we talked about all of my concerns due to complications from my 1st. She is knowledgeable, yet relaxed so I felt like I was talking to a caring friend instead of a stranger. She totally understood me and I felt like she cared about me. I was sad that my husband couldn't be there to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time, but she let me use my phone to include him. I am so thankful to have her this pregnancy!
Honestly the front desk came off as a bit rude. I was running a bit late which I never do. I called to inform them that I was coming from far as we just moved here I'm a new patient my appointment was changed a day prior and my huShow moresband was just sent into emergency spinal surgery. And they still said I might not be able to be seen. If they could just maybe consider people might have very serious things going on in their lives along with being 34 weeks pregnant that could help ease extra stress on an already stressful pregnancy. I would switch hospitals to be at the same hospital as my husband but it's too close to the birth date.

After Dr. Hinshaw earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Michigan, he went on to complete his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. He headed back to Michigan to finish his obstetrics and gynecology internship and residency at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital, where he served as chief resident.
Dr. Hinshaw is board certified through the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. While Dr. Hinshaw is skilled in preventive care and treating chronic women’s health issues, he has a special interest in hysteroscopy and minimally invasive surgical procedures including endometrial ablation, laparoscopy, and daVinci® robotic surgery.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Hinshaw spends time with his wife and their son. He enjoys traveling, skiing, biking, and running in his spare time.

My first visit with Dr. Hinshaw. First impressions: The office staff is prompt, polite, very nice and professional. The office runs very smoothly. Dr. Hinshaw himself is professional, caring, interactive, listens to everything you have to say and addresses every issue very clearly. I never felt uncomfortable or rushed. I’m very happy to have Dr. Hinshaw and his team taking care of my needs. Highly recommend!
First time visit to this office (San Marcos location) and I found Dr. Hinshaw and the entire staff to all be very professional, friendly and helpful. The office is clean and parking is plentiful. Would absolutely recommend this office.

I love Dr Hinshaw, He’s great, very gentle, he did my hysterectomy 6 weeks ago and I had no problems didn’t even take my pain meds. His bedside manners are perfect, I love the way he explained things to me.
