Dr. Wickersham is more than a doctor, he is a healer. I've been a patient for 12+ years & am beyond grateful for his expertise, professionalism, the time he takes to listen, answer questions & explain things. I trust him implicitlShow morey & know I'm in good hands! Consistently, despite his very busy practice, he makes me feel like I'm his only patient of the day, (which I know isn't true). He is kind, patient, empathic & personable. His P.A. Miss Allison is also exceptional! The office runs like an efficient, well oiled machine. At the present time, circumstances require me to live out of state; I fly in for office visits! (*I cut corners elsewhere to make it work). Literally, everyone in my life, (close friends & family), albeit sometimes unsolicited, know about Dr. Wickersham & my reverence for him. I feel blessed to have him & his staff in my life.
Dr Pendleton is a very knowledgeable and respectful practitioner. He doesn't force anything on you, He listens and then offers advice that is agreeable to your health perspectives. He first asked for my permission..He has just come out with a book that would benefit all of his patients...He spent three years putting it together. It is well worth the purchase and can easily be understood in layman's terms.

Pendleton Wickersham, MD, is a highly trained specialist at Arthritis Associates in San Antonio, Texas. He is board-certified in internal medicine and rheumatology.
Dr. Wickersham grew up in Augusta, Georgia. After graduating magna cum laude from Rice University in Houston, Texas, he attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where he earned his medical degree with honors.
Dr. Wickersham then moved to Denver to work on his postgraduate studies. He completed his internship, residency, and fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Wickersham moved to San Antonio to pursue his dream of running a thriving clinical practice, where he’s a partner at San Antonio-based Arthritis Associates. Dr. Wickersham is a frequent speaker and consultant. He’s invented several medical devices and maintains his advanced credentials with continuing education.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Wickersham for at least 15 years maybe more. He is THE BEST doctor i’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. He’s kind, caring and most knowledgeable in his profession and very helpful in treating my conditions. I will never change him for any reason. The only reason I would no longer be a patient is if he retires or I am not around anymore. He’s the best!!!
First, I am not from San Antonio. Although I was born here. I have had the privilege of being a patient of Dr. Wickersham and trust him with my care. He is a patient, knowledgeable, and demonstrates empathy for his patients. He is one of the best doctors I have seen here or where I live.

Dr. Wickersham is always so kind and takes time to talk and listen to you. I never feel rushed. He’s also very punctual. Not like so many other doctors that make you wait 30 or more minutes past your appt time.
I have no complaints. The Dr. and the staff have always been professional and courteous. My medical questions have been addressed and explained.
Today I purchased dr. Wickersham’s new book and manual. I’m done with the first chapter and continue to be interested. He gave well attention to me today during my consult.

Best rheumatologist I have ever seen. Dr. Wickersham is excellent at determining the problem and getting you back to feeling well in a reasonable manner. He is professional, kind, brilliant and has kept my life with RA under control and being able to live a normal life. Excellent staff and a very efficiently run office. Highly recommend.
I have never given a five star rating to any Doctor or his/her staff but after being a patient of Dr Wickersham going on two years I have had to relent and do so. Five full merit stars is their score.
Dr Wickersham is an excellent rheumatologist. He listens to his patients and offers solutions. He just gets what his patients are dealing with and conveys that in his care. I’m so glad he is my physician and finally after 35 years with Lupus someone is actually treating my disease properly. I highly recommend him!!
