I had a full Nissen Fundoplication in 2005 and it had loosened over the years. I contacted 2 medical facilities in 2019 to have it redone because of my acid reflex issues. I was told that it was complicated because of a hiatal hShow moreernia and might be dangerous due to my age and respiratory underlying conditions. I was recently prescribed a more potent reflex medication. I was referred to Dr. Woodworth by the National Jewish Health in Denver. I was able to schedule an appointment fairly quickly. Dr. Woodworth performed a robotic labroascopic redo surgery for me. The hernia was removed and a partial fundoplication was done. I was very happy as this is what I wanted done in 2019. Three weeks out and I am healing well from the surgery with no more reflux. I would definitely recommend Dr. Woodworth to anyone who is seeking a nissan redo surgery.
The surgical team was very friendly & helpful with explaining post op instructions the day of surgery. I was able to be checked in swiftly. Waited about 15 minues in the waiting room. Surgery was scheduled for 9:45am. They brougShow moreht me back to the operating room at 9:25/9:30am. W/ other surgeries I have had always seems you aren't even brought back till the scheduled start or later. I also appreciated the direct call from Dr. Woodworth the day after to see how I was doing.

My surgery last week went well and my recovery is going great so far. I haven't had any complications. I would definitely recommend Dr Woodworth. I will submit an update later down the road.
All went well. Very efficient , pleasant staff. Surgery (robotic assisted hiatal hernia repair and fundoplication) with very minimal discomfort… now a week out and feeling pretty normal and back to work. Shocking considering the amount of surgery performed. If you need surgery, I highly recommend Dr Woodworth, his staff, and hospital.

Dr. Woodworth came to see me immediately before my surgery. He was clear and concise in his explanation of what the surgery will entail. He also answered all my questions. After surgery, he called my best friend who picked me up. In the few minutes that she talked to him, she was very impressed with him. She described him as a kind and compassionate doctor.
Office is Friendly, Speedy, Efficient in setting up appt. Dr. Woodworth is *very* knowledgeable, friendly, explains things well, and provides good insights. Dr. Woodworth dedicated time prior to our appointment to review all test results, this "homework" allowed our discussion to focus on the next steps to address my ailment. This was my first meeting with Dr. Woodworth, he was extremely knowledgeable with the issues I've been having, reviewing procedure, and took the time to explain in terms I would comprehend. While nobody enjoys health problems, we could all benefit from Dr. Woodworths approach and professionalism.

Dr Woodworth was phenomenal. I was sort of a mess being first surgery. But he along with anesthesiologist Dr Ryan (didn't get last name were awesome. Also RN was absolutely incredibly. Smith medical was a great facility and I couldn't recommend a better first surgery too to bottom. Thank you to everyone who assisted withy surgery.
