About Dr. Robert Burgmeier, MD

Dr. Robert Burgmeier is a renowned orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. With a focus on knee, hip, elbow, and shoulder injuries, he provides exceptional care to patients at Texas Orthopaedic Associates in Dallas and Plano, Texas. Dr. Burgmeier’s dedication to his patients, combined with his innovative surgical techniques, has earned him widespread respect in the field.

A graduate of the University of Minnesota, Dr. Burgmeier earned his medical degree from Northwestern University. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Los Angeles County + University of Southern California Medical Center, followed by a sports medicine fellowship at the prestigious Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute.

Dr. Burgmeier excels in treating complex shoulder and knee ligament injuries, advanced arthroscopic procedures and robotic total joints surgery. His expertise extends beyond the clinic, as he serves as a team physician for the Dallas Legion Professional Ultimate Frisbee team, Frisco High School and other sports organizations. Committed to advancing the field, Dr. Burgmeier has published research and presented his findings nationally.
