Dr. Ross Whitacre, MD

Ross Whitacre, MD, is a professional physiatrist at Orthopaedic Associates, Inc, which has locations in Henderson, Kentucky, and Newburgh and Evansville, Indiana. He is certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, specializing in helping patients with disabilities and restoring bodily functions so that they may improve their quality of life. Other interests of his include sports medicine and pain management. 

Dr. Whitacre has over a decade of experience, receiving his medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, West Virginia. Beginning his orthopaedic career, he worked as an intern at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with the general surgery unit. 

He went on to complete his residency at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan, for physical medicine and rehabilitation, where he developed his affinity for interventional spine care and musculoskeletal medicine, discovering ways for patients to reach their full potential. He has affiliations with several other hospitals in the area,  including Ascension St. Vincent Evansville in Evansville, Indiana, and Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
