Was not happy at all got in there and she tried selling me Orthotics to go in my shoes took x-rays then said that it was something else when I've had it several times before and I know the pain and stuff like that so I had a prettShow morey good idea and she wanted me to come back every 3 weeks and I told her I couldn't come back but every 4 weeks because I only get paid once a month because I'm disabled and she still sent me up front with the paper for 3 weeks she also took and said well I just got a full schedule today so you're just going to have to make another appointment and come back I live about an hour away I had to borrow the money for gas and then I had a big copay and I had to borrow the money for to pay the co-pay and she did not even do a diabetic trim on my nails did not even give me my script for my diabetic shoes which I've been trying to get since January she said when I made an appointment come back she would do that so I was not happy at all and I will not go back I've already contacted my doctor to see if she could give me another referral to a different doctor
My new Podiatrist is awesome. He’s attentive, thorough, very professional, and understanding. Even though I was 15 minutes late for this appointment due to my not being able to find his office in a timely manner, I was still able Show moreto be seen and he and all his staff were very kind and supportive. I was very upset with myself because I could not find the office and I didn’t want to be late and mess up their schedule, but they all helped to calm me down and I was seen as soon as a room opened up. Thank you Doctor and kind staff for being nice to an old, confused woman who became disoriented when I could not find the office. I kept driving around and round until I reached someone by phone. I truly appreciated the warm treatment and understanding that I received that day. You are the best!
Sharon Walston Kobos, DPM, is a board-certified podiatrist at Foot & Ankle Specialists of New Mexico, with locations in Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, South Valley, Edgewood, and Grants, New Mexico. Dr. Kobos treats patients with both surgical and non-surgical foot and ankle problems.
Born and raised in Albuquerque, Dr. Kobos earned an undergraduate degree in biology from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. She was first introduced to podiatry as a teenager when she was a competitive figure skater. This led her to receive her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the California School of Podiatric Medicine (formerly the California College of Podiatric Medicine) in San Francisco, California. She completed a three-year surgical residency program in San Francisco and Santa Ana, California. After her residency, Dr. Kobos decided to return to her hometown of Albuquerque.
Dr. Kobos treats patients of all ages, offering preventive foot care for the elderly and immunocompromised. She enjoys treating athletes of all types and is a very conservative physician who is largely recognized for a non-surgical approach to patient care whenever possible. When asked, “Why feet?” Her answer was, “Feet are very important. It is hard to land the space shuttle with a flat tire.”
She is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery. She is also a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
Outside of work, Dr. Kobos’ most important job is being a wife and mother of two daughters. In her free time, she is an avid figure skater and a figure skating judge. She also enjoys skiing, hiking, biking, and running.

The doctor took here time with me and check everything! She check my orthotics, in my shoes and on my foot. Took care of calluses, and discussed my possible in grown toenails.
