I give dr Leano five stars and Tracy. But there are complications at the pharmacy that create problems I do not have authorization to control and the office is exasperated with how much time they spend right now it is difficult foShow morer them to advocate for patient care with pharmasist inconsistencies. I feel bad for the dr’s. But I am caught in the middle and it is inconvenient and embarrassing. I know its not their fault. I just wish the drs and pharmacists could have more unity in care and that pharmacists did not make you present your dr appointment at the window against their skepticism and without privacy and in a rush. The pressure feels wrong and amplifies my medical issues such as anxiety, depression and pain. Then the dr looses ability to treat me as an individual and does not have time to discuss all the complications at the pharmacies, so we don’t discuss much about medical care in my visit except how to handle pharmacies and different pharmacists opinions and rules. It is bizzarr. Still to say ,while my situation is unpleasant, I believe I have the best most patient dr, who tries more than most to treat me with respect and kind amongst the pressures that constantly change and present from varying angles. Im impressed with her professionalism and composure. An amazing human.
Overall my experience has been good. In the first two years of seeing Dr. Leaño, I was pleased. She was professional but friendly also. She asked many questions about my husband and my life at home. That was nice I liked developiShow moreng a rapport with her. At the first appointment she told me she would have to reduce my Oxycodone and I was able to adjust to the lower dose. Recently she explained that she would need to reduce my Oxycodone again and that all the practice would reduce as per the Medical Board. I cried I was upset because I knew I wouldn’t be able to function. Or, do the things that were required of Patients to do Per the signed Agreement exercise & healthy eating agreement that is required for all patients to sign. After she invites me over for large reduction, our relationship changed. She withdrew and my future appointments I saw Dr. Kim instead. a signan the amount of medication I was on was less than I previously I don’t like how busy the doctors are and there is not time to have 10 minutes to talk. Most the time I feel take care I am receiving is quick and hurried moving onto the next patient.

Dr. Leano completed her general surgery residency at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Darby, Pennsylvania, and her anesthesiology residency at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She then completed her pain management fellowship at University of California Davis Medical Center (UC Davis Medical Center) in Sacramento.
At Capital Pain Consultants, Dr. Leano uses a multimodal approach to interventional pain management. She helps patients to decrease or eliminate opioid use, instead focusing on powerful longer-lasting approaches such as spinal cord stimulation, intrathecal drug pumps, and radiofrequency ablation.

A newer opioid is being tried on me, but I have been having severe side effects & pain break through. They won't try anything else or there may not be anything else. I wish they would of just left me on the patch that worked for me.
I really appreciated the time the Dr. took to explain things and her listening ability. I feel as I am in good hands moving forward!! Highly recommend!
