About Sophia Kwin, ND

Dr. Kwin earned her Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Medicine and Classical Violin from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. During her undergraduate studies, she volunteered in a surface materials research laboratory focused on cardiovascular applications and worked as a rehabilitation aide, experiences that shaped her interest in preventive medicine and the intersection of biochemistry, function, and human performance.

She went on to complete her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND) degree at the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in Portland, Oregon. During medical school, her clinical training focused on cardiometabolic health, hormones, and root-cause–oriented care, integrating lifestyle and medicine within an evidence-based framework into individualized treatment plans. She also participated in research exploring mindfulness-oriented approaches to pain and has presented on the role of naturopathic medicine within collaborative healthcare settings.

She approaches each patient with curiosity and a strong commitment to partnership. Informed by both clinical training and personal experience navigating health challenges while maintaining demanding physical goals, she values aligning medical care with patients’ real-world lives, priorities, and long-term well-being.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Kwin enjoys strength training, climbing mountains, lifelong learning, and spending time with her bunnies and loved ones
