I have had the pleasure of speaking with your PA, Andrew, on more than one occasion. Like Dr. Kasimian, Andrew is very patient, listens without interrupting, and is direct & to the point. He also follows up with answers to questioShow morens that he does not know at the time when you ask. There's no "I think so," or "kinda of sorta" answers with him. He gets back to you. The staff & intake nurse or medical assistant have a positive demeanor to them and seem to care about the patient & not treat you like a number on a chart. I find the Upland location alot more professional & better communicators than the Glendale location. Glendale calls you & never leaves a message. They say a few days later "but we tried contacting you" but with no email, text or voice message to follow up with the reason why they called & just hung up. Upland 5 stars.
Absolutely amazing care and treatment. I have never been disappointed by Dr Kasimian. He helps me understand what my body is dealing with and time to heal. I follow his instructions and I am satisfied to see myself improve as muchShow more as he is when I visit. I don’t feel like I am being pushed out so he can make time for another patient. He sits there and talks to me face-to-face and assesses me properly. He doesn’t look away typing into a computer while you speak, unless he really needs to. Instead of just a handshake I also gave him a hug and said thank you.
Stepan Kasimian, M.D., is an orthopaedic surgeon with specialty training in complex spinal reconstruction and minimally invasive spine surgery. His primary interests include degenerative spine disease and spinal deformity. He has extensive experience in treating multiple spine disorders including disc herniations, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, kyphosis, scoliosis, tumors, and spinal trauma in the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine.
Dr. Kasimian received his undergraduate degrees in Microbiology & Molecular Genetics and History from the University of California, Los Angeles. He completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center. After residency, Dr. Kasimian obtained further training in complex spinal reconstruction surgery at Cedars-Spinal Medical Center, Institute for Spinal Disorders.
Dr. Kasimian has presented his research at the International Meeting on Advanced Spine Techniques and has written a chapter on endoscopic thoracic disc herniations in a prominent spine textbook.
He is a member of the American Medical Association, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, North American Spine Society, and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. In order to better serve his patients, his practice is located in Beverly Hills, Glendale, and Rancho Cucamonga and he maintains privileges in numerous hospitals including Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Glendale Adventist Medical Center.

The staff was very helpful and friendly
I was having terrible headaches and neck pain from an accident, Dr. Kasimian did surgery to replace a disc. The surgery went fantastic no more headaches. Later I had a second surgery on my lower back by Dr. Kasimian. The staff are very helpful and the doctor is very thorough explaining all of your options. I believe that you cannot find a better surgeon.
