Yasmine Shahbaz, ASW

Yasmine Shahbaz is a psychotherapist who creates a warm, nurturing, and mindful space for clients to explore challenges and build resilience. She earned her Master’s degree from California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) and uses a client-centered, trauma-informed approach tailored to each individual. Yasmine draws on mindfulness, ACT, CBT, and DBT, and considers the full context of a person’s environment—social, cultural, familial, and economic—in her work. She has experience in schools, community programs, IOPs, and PHPs, supporting adolescents and adults with depression, anxiety, mood and eating disorders, addiction, trauma, self-harm ideation, and relationship challenges. Rooted in social justice, Yasmine brings a culturally-informed, progressive approach and has extensive experience supporting LGBTQ+ communities, ensuring clients feel seen, heard, and empowered.
