Zachary Perlman, DO, is a board-certified internal medicine and primary care sports medicine specialist in Little Silver, New Jersey. At Kai Sports Medicine, Dr. Perlman provides care for athletes and the general population and is particularly interested in minimally invasive orthopedic procedures, including ultrasound-guided joint injections. He is fascinated with longevity medicine and sports nutrition and also plans to obtain his certification in obesity medicine.
Dr. Perlman spent his childhood in Toms River, New Jersey, near the shore. He earned his undergraduate degree at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, in molecular biology and biochemistry and completed medical school in South Florida at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale.
His residency training involved three years in internal medicine and one year in general surgery, as he was always drawn to the procedural aspects of medicine. He furthered his training with a primary care sports medicine fellowship in San Antonio, Texas, where he worked alongside the NBA San Antonio Spurs physicians.
Dr. Perlman has always been active and enjoys participating in sports himself, as he was a swimmer and a collegiate wrestler throughout his childhood and during high school. He now continues to stay active by running, snowboarding, playing golf, playing basketball, and participating in many other sports. His hobbies include yoga, meditation, and spending time with his wife and child.

Rare do you go to a medical office that hums. This office runs on time and they have systems for you to walk right through, receive your treatment, check right out and have future visits scheduled. You're greeted with a welcoming smile and good energy and there is a warm pass off and escort each step of the way. Dr. Perlman's office is clean and cutting edge. His delivery warm and comprehensive and you feel safe every step. He is invested in your health. I'm a new person after his treatment.
Dr. Perlman took the time to carefully assess my condition, provided me the opportunity to ask questions, explained options, and relieved my pain in one session. His team was also very caring and attentive! Definitely an excellent experience!

First dose of shots for my knees today. Dr. Perlman is wonderful minimal pain and looking forward to moving freely without knee pain. Dr. Perlman also showed me how to use the GLP 1 because I was unsure. Another successful visit. I highly recommend Dr. Perlman.
