Dr. Ventre completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Science from the University of Puerto Rico and continued his medical studies at San Juan Bautista School of Medicine in Caguas, Puerto Rico. He earned his medical degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana, Santo Domingo and completed residencies at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Cabrini Medical Center for Internal Medicine and Psychiatry and completed his Psychiatry Residency at the University of Florida Psychiatry Program.
I am dual board certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist. I see clients from age 12 and up. People come to treatment for all sorts of reasons — anxiety, depression, trauma, difficulty functioning at work or school, family conflict, challenges in relationships, low self-esteem, or simply a desire to learn more about themselves. As a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist with expertise in both medication management and psychotherapy, I can help patients develop a treatment plan that meets their needs. My style is guided by warmth and flexibility, with the goals of helping patients build insight and reduce symptoms.

During psychiatry residency at Wake Forest University I had to write a personal statement to apply for a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship. It had to be good and truthful. Thinking about my experience with children in Argentina where I went to medical school while working for a church as a tutor for poor children. In USA as I re-validated the Medical Doctor degree working as a Physician Assistant for two pediatricians, and having four children of my own, concluded "I probably didn't give them much but I gave them my best to help them through parts of this journey called life", and "I received a lot in return that made me today almost as resilient as they were". Fast forward, looking back into more recent years and working mostly with adult patients now, I feel the same. My patients are not clients with better or worse insurance, but people like me, going through this journey called life where my mission is to help them go through forks, bumps, and traps as I do with God's help
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) that treats clients across the lifespan. I have extensive experience treating patients with a variety of behavioral, emotional, and mental health disorders which include Depression, Anxiety, Mood Disorders, ADD/ADHD, Psychotic Disorders, and Cognitive Disorders. In addition to medication management, I incorporate an innovative approach of treatment that focuses on treating the “Mind, Body and Spirit,” to meet my client's mental, physical, and spiritual needs. I educate my clients on making lifestyle changes to improve self-care and promote wellness. I earned my master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Chamberlain University and later went on to earn a Post Master’s Degree as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Maryville University. The advantage of being dually certified gives me the advantage of treating patient's psychiatric and medical needs.
