Dr. Sandeep Mendiratta completed a combined BS/MD accelerated program at Northeast Ohio Medical University. From there, he went on to be trained at the University of Florida and subsequently became a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

During psychiatry residency at Wake Forest University I had to write a personal statement to apply for a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship. It had to be good and truthful. Thinking about my experience with children in Argentina where I went to medical school while working for a church as a tutor for poor children. In USA as I re-validated the Medical Doctor degree working as a Physician Assistant for two pediatricians, and having four children of my own, concluded "I probably didn't give them much but I gave them my best to help them through parts of this journey called life", and "I received a lot in return that made me today almost as resilient as they were". Fast forward, looking back into more recent years and working mostly with adult patients now, I feel the same. He attended the University of Miami on a Merit Scholarship and graduated Summa Cum Laude/ Valedictorian with a BS degree in Chemistry. He attended the University of Miami School of Medicine on a Full Merit Scholarship and was the youngest man in his graduation class. He did his Internship in Internal Medicine at Cedars-Sinai/UCLA in Beverly Hills, California. He completed his Psychiatry residency at the University of Florida where he was elected Chief Resident in Psychiatry and Awarded Resident of the year.
