Dr. Kaushansky earned his Doctorate of Psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his predoctoral internship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s in New York City, subsequently followed by a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Prior to founding Kaushansky Psychology, Dr. Kaushansky worked as a Staff Psychologist with Los Angeles County Mental Health, providing diagnostic assessments, crisis intervention, and individual outpatient therapy to adults with complex psychological presentations, including acute and chronic medical illnesses, addiction, chronic trauma, and personality disorders.
Dr. Kaushansky is a graduate of the Adult Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy program at the New Center for Psychoanalysis in Los Angeles. He additionally holds Diplomate status in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from the Academy of Cognitive Therapy.
Dr. Kaushansky is a licensed Clinical Psychologist by the California State Board of Psychology (PSY-26660), and current member of The American Psychological Association.

I have worked with all populations, including: infants, children, pre-teens, adolescents, young adults, families, couples, senior adults, individuals with debilitating medical conditions, individuals with special needs, and individuals in their end stages of life. I have extensive experience working with at-risk children and adolescents who present with a variety of behavioral issues. I also have a great deal of experience working with families, adults and couples struggling with life’s many difficulties, as well as providing co-parenting support and education. Additionally, I have a great deal of experience in the area of Forensic Social Work, specifically dealing with Juvenile Dependency, Family Law Matters and Juvenile Delinquency Issues.
