Dennis Kellar, MD, is the owner and CEO of Northwest Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine in Algonquin, Illinois. He is a board-certified multispecialty physician, providing his patients with expert care.
Some of his many areas of expertise include trauma/critical care, pulmonary diseases, sleep disorders, and complex long-term respiratory and ventilator care.
Dr. Kellar has been serving the community for over 20 years. He received his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, and his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine.
Dr. Kellar’s training includes an internal medicine residency at Cook County Hospital and completing pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine fellowship as a chief fellow at RUSH University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Kellar has served as a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford in Rockford, Illinois. He is a veteran of the United States Army and served with the 101st airborne division. Dr. Kellar also holds numerous director positions, including medical director for several ventilator care and COVID-19 units in the northwest suburbs.
He served as the previous director of respiratory therapy for Illinois and director of pulmonary sleep services for an extensive health system in Northern Illinois. Dr. Kellar has been published in numerous areas covering pulmonary and critical care and was appointed as a special investigator of the coroner’s office in Mchenry County.
Dr. Estes has been practicing pulmonary and critical care in Knoxville, TN since 1991 and has been with StatCare practicing pulmonary and critical care since 2000. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1980, and medical school from the University of South Florida in 1984. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Alabama Birmingham hospitals and pulmonary critical care fellowship at the University of Tennessee, Memphis, completing in 1989. He completed undergraduate, Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy programs at The Pennsylvania State University prior to obtaining a Doctor of Medicine degree at Jefferson Medical College. Subsequently, Dr. Swisher completed an Internal Medicine Residency in 1992 and Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship in 1995 at The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, PA. He maintains board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine.
