Sheri Wirtz, PsyD, is a licensed psychologist at Riverhills Neuroscience, providing compassionate and patient-centered mental health care to people in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Dr. Wirtz went to college at the University of Cincinnati, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Then, she enrolled at Xavier University in Cincinnati and obtained her master’s degree and doctorate degree in psychology.
Before entering private practice, Dr. Wirtz completed a pre-doctoral internship at the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center in Pennsylvania, and a postdoctoral fellowship in rehabilitation psychology at the UC Health Drake Center in Cincinnati.
These programs taught Dr. Wirtz how to use psychotherapy to help people cope with illness. She learned that assessing the psychological impact of chronic conditions helps aid in treatment planning and improves patient health.
Dr. Wirtz is a friendly and approachable psychologist. Her knack for helping patients feel at ease doesn’t go unnoticed. In fact, she’s received several awards for exceptional service from the Veteran’s Administration and the American Psychological Association.
