Ali Hendi, MD, is a widely recognized skin cancer specialist who has been caring for patients in the Washington, DC area for over a decade. Dr. Satoskar grew up in Minnesota alongside the Mississippi River. She then attended the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in Illinois, where she was elected into Alpha Omega Alpha, an honor signifying a lasting commitment to scholarship, leadership, professionalism, and service, which no more than 15% of all medical students achieve. Dr. Satoskar also received the American Medical Women’s Association Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation, which is awarded to women in the top 10% of the graduating class.
Dr. Satoskar completed her internship in internal medicine at the University of Chicago in Illinois and her dermatology residency at the University of California — Los Angeles and the University of Chicago. After completing her training, Dr. Satoskar was in private practice and served on faculty at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois.
In 2009, Dr. Satoskar moved to the Washington, DC, area and has been active in the local dermatology community since. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and a member of the Washington DC Dermatological Society.
When not in the office, Dr. Satoskar is an avid student of vinyasa yoga and enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.
