Stephen Suah, MD, MS, is a skilled dermatologist serving the community of Washington, DC, at Foxhall Dermatology.

Dr. Suah received his undergraduate degree and medical degree from the University of Florida. He also received his Master’s in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Georgetown University, graduating summa cum laude.

During residency, Dr. Suah has focused on patient-centered care, medical dermatology, surgical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, and skin of color while training at Howard University in Washington, DC, VA Medical Center, and Children’s National Hospitals. Dr. Suah will continue to supervise the Surgical Dermatology Clinic weekly at Howard University.

Dr. Alison Ehrlich, a board certified dermatologist, is the former founding Chair and Director of Clinical Research in the Department of Dermatology at The George Washington University. After many years in academic medicine, she is now establishing her private practice in the Washington D.C area, but continuing to specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of allergic contact dermatitis and psoriasis, as well as cosmetic dermatology. Following her residency in Dermatology, she completed a fellowship in Clinical Research and Masters in Clinical Research through a combined NIH/Duke program. She has overseen the Dermatology Department at the combined Dermatology/Rheumatology clinics while at GW. She continues to participate in and lead clinical research studies, and her current research projects focus on psoriasis, allergic contact dermatitis, and atopic dermatitis. Ali Hendi, MD, is a widely recognized skin cancer specialist who has been caring for patients in the Washington, DC area for over a decade. A board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Hendi opened a state-of-the-art surgical facility, dedicated to the treatment of skin cancers, in Chevy Chase, Maryland in 2008. Since then, he has performed over 14,000 Mohs surgeries and reconstructions. He is active in the medical community as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Georgetown University Medical Center. Juan-Carlos (J.C.) Caballero, MD, is board certified in general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology. He leads the team at Warrenton Dermatology & Skin Therapy Center in Warrenton, Virginia.

Dr. Leon E. Brown is a private practice dermatologist in Takoma Park, Maryland. His practice covers the full range of medical dermatology treatment for his patients with skin conditions ranging from acne to skin cancer and everything in between.  Dr. Brown also has a passion for helping his patients achieve their ideal body image. Board-certified dermatologist Al Damavandy, MD provides the highest quality medical and cosmetic skin care available to patients of all ages. As a skin cancer expert who specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery and skin reconstruction, Dr. Damavandy uses his expert training in dermatological oncology, Mohs micrographic surgery, and procedural dermatology at District Dermatology in McLean, Virginia.

Dr. Damavandy underwent rigorous fellowship training in Mohs micrographic surgery and procedural dermatology at one of the most prestigious programs in the country at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. Before his fellowship, Dr. Damavandy attended the accelerated, seven-year dual BA/MD program at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. There he earned his undergraduate degree in biology, summa cum laude, and graduated as the valedictorian of his medical school class.

Dr. Damavandy went on to complete an internship in internal medicine at Harvard Medical School’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. He completed his residency training in dermatology at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year.

Dr. Damavandy lectures nationally on the topics of cutaneous oncology and reconstructive surgery and has served in national leadership positions for the field of dermatology. Lorena Dollani M.D specializes in both Dermatology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Dollani’s scope of practice includes medical dermatology for both children and adults, surgical dermatology, and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Dollani grew up in Massachusetts. She earned her B.S. in Microbiology, with the highest honors of Summa Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and her M.D at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Dr. Dollani was also inducted in the Gold Humanism Medical Honor Society for her excellence in clinical care, leadership, compassion and dedication.

Dr. Dollani then completed a rigorous five-year combined residency in Dermatology and Internal Medicine at Georgetown University and Washington Hospital Center, where she served as Chief Resident during her last year of training. Sanna Ronkainen, M.D, F.A.A.D. is a board-certified dermatologist. Dr. Ronkainen is a Northern Virginia native, born and raised in Fairfax County. She graduated from St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School in Alexandria, and earned her B.A. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at Rice University in Houston, Texas. Upon graduation from Rice, she was awarded a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship--a grant to pursue research through travel in a topic of personal interest--studying type 1 diabetes. During her fellowship she traveled to Argentina, Tonga, India, Hong Kong, South Africa, and Tanzania. She returned to Washington, DC for medical school at Georgetown University, where she graduated cum laude and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society as recognition of her academic excellence.

Dr. Ronkainen then completed a five-year combined residency in Dermatology and Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota, where she participated in the global health track and served as Chief Resident during her final year. During her residency she was awarded the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award and was inducted in the Gold Humanism Medical Honor Society for her enthusiasm for teaching medical students.

Prior to joining District Dermatology, Dr. Ronkainen served as an assistant professor at Georgetown University School of Medicine and worked at the Medstar Washington Hospital Center Department of Dermatology. Dr. Ronkainen is delighted to serve her home community.
