Robert Ecker, MD, FAAD, is an experienced, board-certified dermatologist serving patients at Integrated Dermatology of Groton in Groton, Connecticut.
Dr. Ecker earned his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Colorado. After which, he worked in pharmaceutical research for nearly 10 years. Through his time in research, Dr. Ecker knew his rightful place was working directly with patients.
He returned to school at the University of Washington in Seattle, earning his medical degree, and completed his internship at the Virginia Mason Hospital. Relocating to Wisconsin, Dr. Ecker trained at the University of Wisconsin’s prestigious dermatology program. He also served as Chief Resident in his last year of training.
When not in the office, Dr. Ecker enjoys cooking, the outdoors, playing banjo and guitar, and spending time with his children. He enjoys caring for his patients, attending to their skin care needs, and helping them feel their best. He is a proud member of the Southeastern Connecticut community.

Lauren Penzi, MD, is an experienced dermatologist with the team at MDCS Dermatology: Medical Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Penzi welcomes patients at the practice’s locations in Commack, Plainview, and Hampton Bays, New York.
Dr. Penzi completed her bachelor’s degree in biology and mathematical sciences at Loyola University Maryland, where she graduated summa cum laude. She went on to finish her medical degree at New York Medical College in Valhalla, where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honors society. After graduating, Dr. Penzi completed an internal medicine preliminary internship at NYU Winthrop Hospital in Mineola, New York, before pursuing an alopecia clinical and research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She then furthered her training with a dermatology residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Penzi is a member of various academic and professional organizations, including the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Society for Pediatric Dermatology, American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.
In addition to her clinical training, Dr. Penzi has been published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals and presented her research findings at various medical conferences and additionally has authored a book chapter on emergency dermatology.

Dr. Lauren Penzi is a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in medical and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Penzi’s training and credentials set her apart as a premier dermatologist on Long Island. She attended New York Medical College, where she was admitted to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society for graduating in the top 10% of her medical school class. She completed her intern year at NYU Winthrop Hospital and went on to complete her dermatology residency training at the renowned Johns Hopkins Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Penzi also spent a year at Harvard Dermatology for a hair loss fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. Throughout her training, Dr. Penzi has made many notable research contributions, and has been published in some of the top dermatology journals including JAMA Dermatology, as well as the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. She continues to stay at the forefront of dermatologic education and research in order to provide the best care to her patients.
Dr. Penzi is dedicated to the health and beauty of her patients’ skin. She prioritizes preventative measures to combat both skin cancer and aging. Dr. Penzi treats patients of all ages and has a special interest in acne, rosacea, skin cancer, eczema, psoriasis, and hair loss. Carolyn Stull, MD, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained dermatologic surgeon. She treats the full spectrum of dermatologic conditions and specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery, surgical reconstruction following skin cancer removal, and facial aesthetics.
Dr. Stull is originally from Philadelphia and served as an Instructor of Dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania prior to joining MDCS. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Miami and her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. Dr. Stull completed dermatology residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago where she served as chief resident. She subsequently completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. During fellowship she trained with experts in the management of rare and advanced skin cancers, complex surgical reconstruction and laser procedures. She also served as a sub-investigator for several clinical trials testing oncolytic viruses and immunotherapies for skin cancer treatment.
Dr. Stull has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, JAMA Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. She has been an invited speaker at regional and national meetings, and has been awarded grant funding from the University of Pennsylvania Center for Human Appearance and the Pennsylvania Medical Society for medical device innovation. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
Outside of the office Dr. Stull enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband who is plastic surgeon and their daughter.

Noah Gratch, MD, FAAD, a board-certified dermatologist, serves patients from throughout Manhattan, Commack, Hampton Bay and Plainview, NY at MDCS Dermatology: Medical Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery. Christos Dimitris Zouzias, MD, MBA, is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs Micrographic Surgeon at MDCS Dermatology. Dr. Zouzias specializes in procedural dermatology, skin cancer management, and Mohs micrographic surgery, offering personalized and patient-centered care to ensure the best outcomes for his patients. He serves patients at MDCS Dermatology's Long Island locations, including Commack, Hampton Bays, and Plainview.
Dr. Zouzias earned both his Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Medicine degrees at New York University (NYU) in New York City. He also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from NYU’s Stern School of Business. Prior to medical school, he completed a student research fellowship in supportive oncodermatology, studying the dermatologic side effects of chemotherapy and radiation therapy under the mentorship of Dr. Beth McLellan, the current chief of dermatology at Montefiore Medical Center.
Following his medical degree, Dr. Zouzias completed his internship in internal medicine at North Shore Long Island Jewish Medical Center and his dermatology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center, where he was recognized as the Outstanding House Officer for his compassion, clinical excellence, and professional rapport. He further specialized by completing his fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at Affiliated Dermatologists and Dermatologic Surgeons in New Jersey.

Joanna Trigg DO is a Board Certified Dermatologist who treats both adult and pediatric patients. She is a native New Yorker who grew up in Brooklyn and attended Bishop Kearney High School. After graduating summa cum laude and earning a bachelor’s degree in biology with minors in chemistry and psychology from Wagner College, Dr. Trigg received her medical degree from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY. She then completed her residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Queens, New York in affiliation with Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.
During her residency, Dr. Trigg attended, presented and lectured at many conferences. She also served as Chief Dermatology resident during the final year. Training in New York City gave her exposure to a very large and diverse patient population.
Dr. Trigg is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Osteopathic Medicine. and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and enjoys medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, with her expertise in acne, rosacea and skin cancer screenings.
