Dr. Zand is a board-certified dermatologist with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a dual M.D. from Harvard Medical School and MIT. At Harvard, she carried out a Melanoma Research Fellowship and then trained in dermatology at UC Davis, where she was honored to be appointed Chief Resident. Richard J. Schmidt, MD, FACOG, is a reproductive endocrinology and fertility specialist, as well as the medical director and laboratory program director at NOVA IVF in Mountain View, California. Dr. Schmidt has committed more than 25 years to delivering excellent patient-centered fertility care to his patients at NOVA IVF. His expertise in the field and drive to excel have resulted in thousands of babies and recognition as one of the state’s most successful fertility doctors.

Dr. Schmidt began his medical career as an engineering and biochemistry undergraduate at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California, and earned his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency and subspecialty training in reproductive endocrinology and fertility at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, California, as well as at NOVA IVF.

Daniel Reyes-Villa, MD, is an experienced family physician with over 25 years of experience who leads the team of aesthetic specialists at Cataleya Aesthetics in San Jose, California. Dr. Reyes-Villa and his wife, Olga Dzhulay, RN, BSN, have a passion for patient care and are committed to meeting the aesthetic needs of both men and women in the Bay Area.

Dr. Reyes-Villa began his formal education in his native country of Colombia. During his training, he worked closely with numerous plastic surgeons and developed a love of aesthetic medicine. After coming to the United States, he completed his residency in family medicine at AMITA Health Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center in Chicago.

In 2008, he moved to San Jose, where he gained valuable experience as a family physician with the San Jose Medical Group. Later, he worked as the medical director at Evergreen Urgent Care in San Jose until he began his independent practice.

A board-certified dermatologist, Michael J. Dans, MD, PhD, provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologic care at San Francisco Dermatology in downtown San Francisco near Union Square. He treats all skin conditions, from acne to infections to scarring. By offering personalized care, he helps each patient achieve better skin health and improved appearance.

Dr. Dans received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry at the University of California, Davis before earning his combined MD/PhD degree at New York University School of Medicine in New York City. He completed his dermatology residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

As an expert in his field, Dr. Dans has published numerous scientific and medical articles and book chapters about skin diseases and treatments. In addition to being on staff at California Pacific Medical Center, he teaches the next generation of physicians as a clinical instructor of dermatology at the University of California, San Francisco.

In his free time, Dr. Dans enjoys skiing, hiking, and mountain biking with his family.

Board-certified dermatologist and a fellowship-trained cosmetic surgeon Haydee Knott, MD, is proud to provide skin care and aesthetic services to patients at Marin Skin located in Mill Valley, California. Dr. Knott values lasting results and patient satisfaction. She always uses high-end, professional-grade products and performs all procedures herself using her keen talent.

Dr. Knott was raised in Southern California and earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of California, San Diego. She then received her medical degree from the University of Vermont in Burlington. Afterward, she completed an internal medicine internship and dermatology residency at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic before returning to California to complete a cosmetic and laser surgery fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco.

Her talent and extensive knowledge of dermatology have been recognized throughout her career. Early on in her career, she received a National Institutes of Health award and conducted research on psoriasis at Case University as well as clinical research in dermatology at the Cleveland Clinic. In addition, she has participated in more than 15 clinical trials and her research has been published.

Dr. Knott is dedicated to staying up to date on the latest advancements. She attends 30 hours of continuing education each year as well as local and national meetings. A diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, she is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. 

Outside of work, Dr. Knott enjoys cooking, baking, and spending time with her husband and three children. She is passionate about music and enjoys playing the cello.

She majored in English Literature at Brown University in Rhode Island, and then went on to earn her medical degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, California, followed by an additional 3 year residency in dermatology at Stanford University.

To stay up-to-date on industry advancements, Dr. Gould participates in regular continuing medical education training. She’s a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow in the American Academy of Dermatology. She is also board-certified through the American Board of Dermatology.

Dr. Gould’s comprehensive background in both internal medicine and dermatology gives her a broad foundation of medical knowledge and training that allows her to diagnose and treat the most complex conditions.

Dr. Gould is currently accepting new patients and looks forward to building lifelong relationships with them.

A native Northern Californian who grew up on the Monterey Peninsula, Sarah Jacobson, MD enjoys serving the community in which she was raised at Gould-Jacobson Dermatology in Menlo Park, California.

Dr. Jacobson earned her undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. She went on to conduct clinical research at the University of California, San Francisco, before earning her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor.

Shortly after completing her internship in internal medicine at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, Dr. Jacobson was accepted into a residency program with the top-ranked University of Michigan dermatology department.

Dr. Jacobson stays on top of her advanced training through many professional memberships and affiliations. She’s a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is also board certified through the American Board of Dermatology.

Dr. Jacobson treats patients of all ages, providing modern, cutting-edge treatments for complex dermatological issues. She is currently accepting new patients and welcomes them to the practice.
