She went on to obtain her doctorate in medicine from Rush Medical College in Chicago, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society for academic achievement. During her medical school training she received numerous honors including the Janet M. Glasgow award for a female student graduating first in her class.
Dr. Lauren Cerullo completed a medical internship at Rush University and then completed her dermatology residency at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she was chosen to serve as chief resident. Throughout her years of dermatology training, she had the opportunity to work with leaders in the field, including a mentorship award to study at the University of Bologna in Italy. She has presented at numerous dermatology meetings and published in peer-reviewed journals. During residency, she was also active in teaching medical students and volunteering as medical staff at Camp Wonder, a summer camp for children with severe skin disease.
After graduating from residency, Dr. Lauren Cerullo moved to Indiana and worked for several years in private practice. Dr. Suleman Bangash is Board Certified in Dermatology and is a Fellowship trained Mohs Micrographic Skin Cancer Surgeon. Dr. Bangash is originally from the Elgin area and is a graduate of Elgin Academy. He attended Northwestern University for his undergraduate studies and attended medical school at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.
