Timothy E. Knight, MD is a dermatologist at North County Dermatology Clinic. Serving patients in Lakeland, Florida, he enjoys the problem-solution process in dermatology. When it comes to his patients, he views each person as an individual, fascinating mystery just waiting to be solved.

Dr. Knight has practiced dermatology for more than 35 years and is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and completed his internship in internal medicine at the Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu. He also completed his dermatology residency at the University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore.

As a lifelong learner, Dr. Knight has published numerous research studies in peer-reviewed journals, and he has presented nationally. He previously served as an assistant professor at several medical schools.

In addition to a medical degree, Dr. Knight earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. He has received many academic honors in the veterinary field, including the Clinic Volunteer of the Year Award from the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty of Animals in 2003 and 2007. Dr. Knight is also a veteran of the United States Army, where he was a captain of the Medical Corps. Prior to the Army, Dr. Knight was an Airman First Class of the Missouri National Guard.

Dr. Knight generously participates in community service and has volunteered as a dermatologist with Talofa Medical Mission, where he provided charity medical services for two weeks yearly in Polynesia over a 10-year period. She attended the University of South Alabama, in Mobile, Alabama for her Master’s degree in Health Sciences. Johanna is board-certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants, and licensed by the State of Florida Board of Medicine.

Johanna practices medicine with empathy and compassion. She enjoys getting to know her patients and creating a trusting relationship between patient and provider. Dr. Acri completed her undergraduate studies at James Madison University (Go Dukes!), graduating cum laude with distinction in chemistry. She then earned her M.D. from University of Maryland, School of Medicine. Thereafter, she remained in Baltimore, completing an internal medicine internship and dermatology residency at the University of Maryland Medical Systems. Following training and for over 20 years, Dr. Acri has managed dermatology practices in Rosedale, Severna Park, and more recently White Marsh, Maryland, her own solo practice.  Brevard Medical Dermatology is excited to have her at our Viera and Merritt Island locations where she is accepting new patients.  

Justin Fitz, PA-C, is a Space Coast native and is honored to give back to his community by serving patients at Brevard Medical Dermatology. He provides compassionate care from the practice's convenient office location in Melbourne, Florida.

Justin has been a certified Physician's Assistant for 12 years. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Eastern Kentucky University in 2008, followed by his Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Nova Southeastern University in 2010. 

Prior to joining Brevard Medical Dermatology, Justin gained experience in emergency medicine, critical care, pulmonology, and pain management. He has undergone extensive dermatology training with Dr. Spicer and Jennifer Modesto, PA-C, and looks forward to providing high-quality dermatology services to patients in Melbourne and the surrounding areas. He welcomes new patients to the practice.
