Samantha earned her Master of Science in nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner post-master's degree at Columbia University, and is currently working on her clinical Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Columbia University with a focus in dermatology.

Prior to completing her Family Nurse Practitioner degree, Samantha worked in dermatology for 12 years and this is where she developed her passion for this field. She worked under the guidance of physicians providing care to a wide demographic of patients with special focus on medical dermatology. Dr. Burk is a board-certified dermatologist with 40 years of experience diagnosing and treating both garden-variety and rare, complex dermatologic disorders.

A graduate of Duke University Medical School, Dr. Burk served for many years as Head of the Division of Dermatology at the Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, where he continues to instruct residents and fellows as a volunteer teaching attending.

Theresa Durchhalter, DO, is a board-certified dermatologist serving patients at Allure Dermatology in Hicksville, New York. She specializes in general and cosmetic dermatology and has experience treating adult and pediatric patients with a wide array of skin disorders, including acne, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, alopecia, and skin cancers. 

Dr. Durchhalter is a native of Long Island, New York, with a long-standing commitment to her community. She graduated Magna cum Laude from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York, with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. 

In 2016, Dr. Durchhalter obtained her medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia, where she graduated as a member of the Sigma Sigma Phi honors fraternity. Upon completion, she returned to New York to complete her dermatology residency at St. John’s Episcopal, where she was appointed chief resident.

Jonathan Trager, MD, has a philosophy of treating the whole person, body and mind, not just a patient’s ailment or condition. A remarkable medical professional, Dr. Trager of  Trager MD and Trager Medi Spa  Medicine of Great Neck, New York, is the only physician in the United States who is board certified in the four specialties of pediatrics, adolescent medicine, dermatology, and pediatric dermatology. He also completed a fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona under the direction of Integrative Medicine pioneer Dr. Andrew Weil. In addition to his private practice in Great Neck, Dr. Trager is on staff at Cohen Children’s Medical Center, North Shore-LIJ (Northwell Health). It’s Dr. Trager’s mission to combine his specialized knowledge of pediatrics and adolescent-young adult medicine with an understanding of the complex needs of each patient so he can offer the highest standard of health care.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Trager enjoys living in the Great Neck community, where he studies classical piano, the pipe organ, advanced music theory, and modern Greek. A science fiction enthusiast, he is an avid reader and writer.
