I'm Dr. Valerie Lyon, and it's a pleasure to welcome you to Lyon Primary Care, in Midtown, New York, NY.

I perform many of the same clinical services an internist does, but as a family practitioner, much of my work also involves routine office gynecology, including Pap smears, oral contraceptives and diagnosis of sexually transmitted diseases.

Raina Weyrauch, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, is a compassionate and experienced Family Nurse Practitioner at Tru Medical Management in New York, with offices in the Navy Hill and Williamsburg neighborhoods of Brooklyn. There, Dr. Weyrauch provides personalized, high-quality care to patients of all ages. 

Board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Dr. Weyrauch brings over four years of clinical experience to her role and specializes in chronic care management, HIV prevention and treatment—including PrEP—and joint health. She is certified in joint injection therapy and is currently pursuing certification to perform DOT (Department of Transportation) physicals.

Maged Boutros, MD, is the CEO and Medical director of Prevention Clinics who obesity board-certified and a board-certified internist who started Prevention Clinics, which has locations in Maywood and Clifton, New Jersey. 

Dr. Boutros started developing a deep interest in integrative medicine and obesity medicine at the end of his fourth year of practice when he was doing his fellowship in anti-aging and integrative medicine. Dr. Eric Bayer, PT, DPT received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy with honors from Thomas Jefferson University in 2008. His Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science was earned at the University of Delaware in 2005. After graduating Physical Therapy school, he moved back home to Long Island, where started his career working in outpatient private practice. He has now been working for Reddy Care Physical Therapy for the past 8 years and has strived to advance his clinical and managerial skills. As the director of the Farmingdale office, he supports a team of 5 people. He provides guidance and monitors the performance of the physical therapists and the front desk staff as well as makes day-to-day decisions for the Farmingdale office in order to better serve the needs of our patients.

Dr. Stephanie Idjadi, PT, DPT received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the New York Institute of Technology. She has done research in Parkinson's and was published in the International Journal of Health Sciences. Stephanie began her career at Reddy Care Physical Therapy 12 years ago as a physical therapy aide while also working on marketing, recruiting, human resources, and many other administrative activities. After graduating in 2015 Stephanie started her career with us as a physical therapist. As the clinical director of our Great Neck clinic, she supports a team of therapists. In her role, she ensures that clinical care is delivered to the highest standards so that patients can achieve their goals.

T. Cristina Sardinha, MD, FACS, FASCRS, is a board-certified surgeon on the team at Progressive Surgical Care, an exceptional surgery practice with locations in Manhasset Hills in New Hyde Park and the Lindenwood area in Howard Beach, New York. She specializes in general surgery and colorectal surgery.

Dr. Sardinha was born, raised, educated, and trained in Brazil. She earned her medical degree from Bahian School of Medicine and Public Health and completed residencies in general and trauma surgery at the University of Sao Paulo, including working under the leadership of internationally renowned colorectal surgeon Dr. Angelita Habr-Gama.

Dr. Sardinha eventually relocated to the United States and completed a research fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic campus in Florida and a general surgery chief residency at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Queens, New York. She returned to the Cleveland Clinic in Florida for a clinical fellowship in colorectal surgery under the leadership of Dr. Steven Wexner.

About Our Practice

Thomas S. Ziering, MD, is a compassionate family practitioner serving patients in Morristown, New Jersey. Having practiced traditional family medicine for more than 30 years, Dr. Ziering has an exceptional career and the unique privilege and perspective of treating ALL patients and families regardless of gender identity, sexual identity, or medical issue. He has delivered more than 150 newborns in his career and many of the children he has cared for now bring their children and families to him.

Dr. Ziering graduated from Rutgers University Medical School in Newark and completed his residency at RWJ University Somerset Medical Center in 1990 where he was honored as the Top Resident Educator. Notably, he was part of the initial clinical trials as a clinical researcher for HIV illness during the HIV crisis in 1992. He is now one of the only private practices to treat and teach PrEP, PEP, and HIV care, as well as hormone therapy for men, women, and trans patients.

Sharing his wealth of knowledge and dedicated to education, Dr. Ziering lectures nationally and statewide and has been integral in teaching physician assistants, nurse practitioners, medical students, residents, physicians, and faculty at many of New Jersey’s various programs. Dr. Ziering was also the former Medical Director of LGBTQI Services for a private medical corporation from 2015-2017. Most recently he was a speaker at the New Jersey Academy of Family Medicine in the first lecture on LGBTQI Medicine for Physicians in Practice.

Dr. Ziering, whose patients endearingly refer to as Tom, has had the privilege of electives in England (Oncology), Miami, Florida (Dermatology), and Dallas, Texas (Cardiology). By not limiting patient visits to 5-10 minutes, he has found the most comfortable and most involved method of practice with a half-hour to one-hour visit, depending on health issues. In this manner, multiple medical issues and mental health issues can be addressed often in one visit. Furthermore, the ‘exam rooms’ are set up more like small living rooms with home furnishings, aromatherapy, sound soothers and artwork conducive to a calm and relaxed discussion. Dr. Lum is the primary Emergency Medicine physician at Forest Urgent Care. He graduated from SUNY Stony Brook Medical School and did his residency at NYU/ Bellevue Hospital. He has over 20 years of experience as an emergency room doctor at some of the best hospitals in New York including:  Columbia Hospital  and Montefiore Hospital. He practiced  in Stamford Hospital in Connecticut. Because of Dr. Lum’s vast amount of experience, he’s able to address a wide variety of patient needs.

Dr. Neola Gushway-Henry is a board-certified Sleep Medicine physician who has over a decade of experience in diagnosing and treating patients with a wide range of sleep disorders. She combines clinical expertise, compassionate patient care, and a strong commitment to advancing the field of Sleep Medicine. During her Residency training, she first recognized the profound impact of the quality of sleep on overall health and well-being. This culminated in a Fellowship in Sleep Medicine during which she deepened her understanding of sleep physiology and acquired advanced skills in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of sleep disorders, interpretation of polysomnography, home sleep apnea testing and actigraphy. Prashanth Mannam, MD, has over 20 years of experience as an internist and primary care provider. He offers patient-focused care to patients aged 12 and older at Mannam Medical & Wellness in the Soundview neighborhood of The Bronx in New York City. 

Dr. Mannam completed his training in medicine in Madras, India. He earned his medical degree at the Madras Medical College and served his internship at the Madras Medical College General Hospital. 

After spending a year honing his skills as a primary care physician at Kommalapati Nursing Home in Ongole, India, he moved to the United States, where he completed his internal medicine residency at New York’s Montefiore North Medical Center in The Bronx.
