I am a Texas-trained and board-certified family physician, and I am excited to be a part of Fulshear Family Medicine. I graduated from Texas A&M University College of Medicine and completed my residency training at Memorial Family Medicine in Sugar Land, TX.  My passion for medicine is driven by a commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of my patients through evidence-based practices, and open communication. Richard R. Andrews, MD, MPH, FASAM, is a board-certified addiction medicine physician and family medicine specialist with over three decades of experience in patient care, public health, and medical education. Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Andrews has dedicated his career to serving diverse communities, from rural migrant health centers in Virginia to immigrant and refugee populations in Houston, Texas.

For over five years Dr Andrews has worked with patients experiencing opioid addiction. Originally from Boston Massachusetts, she was educated at first at Mass General Hospital, and later at Boston College. She worked as a Registered Nurse for many years in cardiothoracic nursing as well as brain injury and spinal cord rehabilitation. She relocated to Texas in 1997 and worked at The Texas Instituted for Rehabilitation and Research (TIRR) before returning to UTMB to continue her education. She graduated from UTMB as a Family Nurse Practitioner and has special interests in Women’s Health, Diabetes and Hypertension. She also works with Medtronic initiating and training patients for insulin pump therapy. She is also trained in cosmetic procedures i.e. Botox, Juvederm and laser therapy.

Originally from sunny Southern California, Kristen graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of California, Irvine, and earned his medical degree in Rhode Island. Along with primary care, Kristen specializes in women's health and genetic medicine. He leads a genetics lab at the Texas Medical Center, serving as the primary investigator in various clinical trials involving gentic engineering, and gene splicing

Kristen is natively fluent in five languages—Greek, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian—enhancing his ability to communicate effectively and provide personalized, compassionate care to patients from diverse backgrounds. Outside of his professional commitments, he enjoys exploring new restaurants, traveling, and spending quality time with his partner, and their 7 year year old rescue dog Remy

Bita Pour-Jafari, MD, ABAARM, is a board-certified family physician with years of experience, she provides comprehensive and patient-centered care at Texas Premier Physicians P.A. in Houston, Texas. 

Dr. Jafari earned her Doctor of Medicine from Hamadan University of Medical Sciences in 2004, completing her residency in family medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Odessa, Texas. Amneh Amro is a Physician Assistant that graduated from UT- RGV in 2012 and moved to Austin to pursue her career. She has worked in family medicine and urgent care settings for several years. I am a compassionate and dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner serving adults and children in the Houston Heights community. I have an extensive clinical background in cardiology, stroke and critical care through my experience practicing alongside Chief of Cardiology Dr. Maged Amine for over 5 years. Elizabeth Finsness, or “Liza”, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology in Dallas, TX.

She graduated from University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She competed on UGA’s NCAA Equestrian team where she was named All-American four years, obtaining a National Championship and two SEC Championship titles. She earned her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Kentucky. Liza began her dermatology career in south Florida where she practiced general and surgical dermatology for 2 years before moving to Texas. She has since earned the title of Diplomate Fellow as a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

Being a native Floridian, Liza recognizes the importance of skin care and prevention of sun-related ailments. She is passionate about patient education and preventative medicine. Eva Hinojosa, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Eva was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, and moved to the Rio Grande Valley with her family at age 10. She graduated cum laude from St. Edwards University in Austin with a Bachelor’s in Biology in 2017. Eva received several academic scholarships throughout her academic career and maintained a position on the Dean’s List. After college, she spent her first postgraduate year working in the Emergency department and volunteering at rural clinics in Mexico and Peru. Eva then attained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from The University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley. She is bilingual and motivated to help the Corpus Christi community in their skin needs. Eva’s interest in helping the community and passion for overall skin care is what drove her to pursue a field in dermatology; her interest was further motivated during her clinical rotations. Prior to her arrival at Heights Dermatology, Eva specialized in Internal Medicine in Mcallen, Texas. She is passionate about providing evidence-based care and enjoys staying up to date with new techniques and products out in the market. She prioritizes the importance of patient education and preventative medicine.

Eva received personal training in dermatology from Dr. Alpesh Desai, DO, and Dr. Tejas Desai, DO. She practices in the areas of general, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology. Eva is licensed by the Texas Medical Board and certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. In her free time, Eva enjoys exercising, spending time with her loved ones, and traveling.

Zoe Apted, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology in Houston. Joining the Heights Dermatology team in 2019, Zoe brings incredible expertise. 

She graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. In 2014, she completed a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. After finishing her MPH, she obtained a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2016. Before completing her graduate studies, Zoe worked in clinical research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. Additionally, she spent six months volunteering as a medical assistant at a rural hospital in Santiago Atitlan, Guatemala. During this time, she discovered a passion for clinical care, which compelled her to pursue a career in medicine. She previously practiced in obstetrics and gynecology before moving into dermatology, a field of special interest to her. Zoe is currently a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Texas Association of Physician Assistants, and Texas Gulf Coast Physician Assistant Association.

In her free time, Zoe enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children. She lives in the greater Heights area and is excited to serve her community.

Annie Chang, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology in Houston. 

Annie is originally from the Houston area and attended high school at St. Agnes Academy. She graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science and Arts in Nutrition in Business. She obtained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from UTMB in 2019. 

Before completing her graduate studies, she gained hands-on experience working as a clinical care coordinator in hepatology at the Houston Medical Center.

In addition to her background in nutrition, Annie holds a keen interest in skin care and in preventative medicine through lifestyle and diet. Building a strong relationship with every patient is an integral part of her practice. Having received personal training in dermatology from Dr. Alpesh Desai, DO, and Tejas Desai, DO, Annie practices medical dermatology, skin cancer surgeries, and other various skin procedures. Annie regularly pursues her continuing medical education in dermatology to provide the highest quality care for her patients.

She is currently a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants, Texas Association of Physician Assistants, and Texas Gulf Coast Physician Assistant Association. In her free time, Annie enjoys cooking, crafting, and spending time with her husband and English bulldog, Rex.
