Andrea D’Gama, FNP, joined Katy Rheumatology in 2020, and under the supervision of Dr. Chimata, has dedicated her time caring for patients’ with rheumatological conditions. She has over 5 years of experience as a FNP, and more than 20 years as a registered nurse. All of this experience has enabled Andrea to follow her passion of managing patients with chronic rheumatological conditions. 

Andrea earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from India and then went on to earn her Master of Science in nursing as a family nurse practitioner from Texas Woman’s University in Houston.  She can speak up to 5 languages, English, Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Kannada. 

She has called Texas her home for the past 21 years, most of which in the West Houston Area. Andrea is more than just a Nurse Practitioner, she is a loving wife, and mother. In her past time, she enjoys cooking, baking, traveling, tasting new foods, and caring for her family.

Kiran Farheen, MD, is a triple board-certified physician in internal medicine, rheumatology, and obesity medicine, proudly serving the Katy, Texas community. With over a decade of clinical experience, Dr. Farheen is dedicated to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Dr. Farheen earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She completed her residency in internal medicine and fellowship in rheumatology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where she trained under leading experts and conducted advanced research in ankylosing spondylitis. Before establishing her own practice, Dr. Farheen served as an Assistant Professor of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunogenetics for five years.

Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Farheen views each patient encounter as an opportunity to grow and refine her approach. She believes in guiding and empowering patients to achieve their best possible health outcomes. Drawing from her experiences as a mother, daughter, wife, and sister, Dr. Farheen strives to connect with each patient on a personal level, treating them as individuals rather than just their diagnoses.

I am a Texas-trained and board-certified family physician, and I am excited to be a part of Fulshear Family Medicine. I graduated from Texas A&M University College of Medicine and completed my residency training at Memorial Family Medicine in Sugar Land, TX.  My passion for medicine is driven by a commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of my patients through evidence-based practices, and open communication. When I am not in the clinic, I enjoy spending my free time with my family and pursuing various interests, including carpentry, cycling, and outdoor activities.

Richard R. Andrews, MD, MPH, FASAM, is a board-certified addiction medicine physician and family medicine specialist with over three decades of experience in patient care, public health, and medical education. Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Andrews has dedicated his career to serving diverse communities, from rural migrant health centers in Virginia to immigrant and refugee populations in Houston, Texas.

For over five years Dr Andrews has worked with patients experiencing opioid addiction. But with this website and virtual medical practice he is focusing on patients who want more control over their use of alcohol. He is board certified in addiction medicine by the American Osteopathic Association and in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine.

A recognized leader in viral hepatitis care, Dr. Andrews previously co-chaired the National Task Force on Hepatitis B. His contributions to medical literature and education include peer-reviewed publications, CME course development, and national conference presentations. In 2019, he was honored as a CDC Hep B Champion for his commitment to eliminating hepatitis B and liver cancer in the U.S.

Originally from sunny Southern California, Kristen graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of California, Irvine, and earned his medical degree in Rhode Island. Along with primary care, Kristen specializes in women's health and genetic medicine. He leads a genetics lab at the Texas Medical Center, serving as the primary investigator in various clinical trials involving gentic engineering, and gene splicing

Kristen is natively fluent in five languages—Greek, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian—enhancing his ability to communicate effectively and provide personalized, compassionate care to patients from diverse backgrounds. Outside of his professional commitments, he enjoys exploring new restaurants, traveling, and spending quality time with his partner, and their 7 year year old rescue dog Remy

Originally from Boston Massachusetts, she was educated at first at Mass General Hospital, and later at Boston College. She worked as a Registered Nurse for many years in cardiothoracic nursing as well as brain injury and spinal cord rehabilitation. She relocated to Texas in 1997 and worked at The Texas Instituted for Rehabilitation and Research (TIRR) before returning to UTMB to continue her education. She graduated from UTMB as a Family Nurse Practitioner and has special interests in Women’s Health, Diabetes and Hypertension. She also works with Medtronic initiating and training patients for insulin pump therapy. She is also trained in cosmetic procedures i.e. Botox, Juvederm and laser therapy.

Bita Pour-Jafari, MD, ABAARM, is a board-certified family physician with years of experience, she provides comprehensive and patient-centered care at Texas Premier Physicians P.A. in Houston, Texas. 

Dr. Jafari earned her Doctor of Medicine from Hamadan University of Medical Sciences in 2004, completing her residency in family medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Odessa, Texas. In 2017, she furthered her expertise with a fellowship in Anti-Aging and Metabolic Medicine (FAAMFM) through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) which transformed her approach in medicine

Dr. Jafari provides a wide range of services, including annual physical exams, preventive and screening exams, chronic disease medication managements, Pap smears, menopause and andropause evaluations, and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. She is dedicated to getting to the root cause of symptoms and creating personalized treatment plans that merge traditional and integrative medicine with the latest advancements.

Amneh Amro is a Physician Assistant that graduated from UT- RGV in 2012 and moved to Austin to pursue her career. She has worked in family medicine and urgent care settings for several years. She has gained experience in psychiatry during this time and enjoys the holistic approach if and when possible. On her free time she enjoys her family and loves to take her son paddle boarding!

Zoe Apted, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology in Houston. Joining the Heights Dermatology team in 2019, Zoe brings incredible expertise. 

She graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. In 2014, she completed a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. After finishing her MPH, she obtained a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2016. Zoe received several academic scholarships throughout her academic career and maintained a position on the Dean’s List.

Before completing her graduate studies, Zoe worked in clinical research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. Additionally, she spent six months volunteering as a medical assistant at a rural hospital in Santiago Atitlan, Guatemala. During this time, she discovered a passion for clinical care, which compelled her to pursue a career in medicine. She previously practiced in obstetrics and gynecology before moving into dermatology, a field of special interest to her. Zoe is currently a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Texas Association of Physician Assistants, and Texas Gulf Coast Physician Assistant Association.

In her free time, Zoe enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children. She lives in the greater Heights area and is excited to serve her community.

Annie Chang, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology in Houston. 

Annie is originally from the Houston area and attended high school at St. Agnes Academy. She graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science and Arts in Nutrition in Business. She obtained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from UTMB in 2019. 

Before completing her graduate studies, she gained hands-on experience working as a clinical care coordinator in hepatology at the Houston Medical Center.

In addition to her background in nutrition, Annie holds a keen interest in skin care and in preventative medicine through lifestyle and diet. Building a strong relationship with every patient is an integral part of her practice. Having received personal training in dermatology from Dr. Alpesh Desai, DO, and Tejas Desai, DO, Annie practices medical dermatology, skin cancer surgeries, and other various skin procedures. Annie regularly pursues her continuing medical education in dermatology to provide the highest quality care for her patients.

She is currently a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants, Texas Association of Physician Assistants, and Texas Gulf Coast Physician Assistant Association. In her free time, Annie enjoys cooking, crafting, and spending time with her husband and English bulldog, Rex.

Patricia Roberts-Harris, D.O. a family physician with over 18 years of experience offering an extensive suite of medical services for you and your family.
