Jocelin Gamez, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant at Michigan Avenue Primary Care, a multispecialty practice located in The Loop of downtown Chicago, Illinois.
Jocelin earned her Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in psychology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. During her undergraduate years, she simultaneously worked as a certified pharmacy technician and certified emergency medical technician. She then earned her Master of Science in physician assistant studies at the University of Iowa (Go Hawkeyes!). Her interests include women’s health, providing healthcare to Spanish-speaking populations, and preventative medicine.
Jocelin loves that every day is different and that she gets to meet and build relationships with all kinds of people. She loves the continuity of her education through the ever-changing medical advances. She also enjoys being able to teach her patients while also learning from them.
Jocelin strives to create an environment where her patients feel comfortable and well taken care of. She loves being surrounded by her colleagues at Michigan Avenue Primary Care, who create such a positive work environment.
When Jocelin is not practicing medicine, she is spending quality time with her family, which she holds close to her heart, and cooking wholesome, delicious meals.
