Derek Ohlstein, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist with a focus on cataract surgery and glaucoma treatment. He sees patients at Center for Advanced Eye Care, located in Vero Beach, Florida.
Dr. Ohlstein is a native of New Orleans and graduated from Tulane University Medical School. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Florida. Dr. Ohlstein has published several peer-reviewed articles including Case Reports in Ophthalmology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. He has also lectured extensively on ocular surface disease and developments in minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries.
Dr. Ohlstein’s clinical interests include glaucoma, cataracts, and dry eye. This includes helping glaucoma patients to decrease their need for daily drops with minimally invasive clinic lasers and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Ohlstein’s goal with cataract surgery is to ensure that his patients see clearer, drive safer, and are less dependent on glasses. He also enjoys helping dry eye patients treat the underlying cause of their condition and find relief from their symptoms.

Dr. Ohlstein was inspired to pursue medicine by his grandfather who was a practitioner in North Florida. Prior to his career in ophthalmology, he worked as a professional photographer and in the development of new medications. Dana Kleinman, DO, is an experienced doctor of osteopathic medicine at the Regenerative Sport, Spine and Spa in Orlando, Florida. Originally hailing from Israel, Dr. Kleinman enjoys helping patients with any concern, no matter how challenging.
Dr. Kleinman obtained a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. Here, she obtained essential knowledge that set the foundation for her continuing education.
Afterward, she attended Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, where she obtained a master’s degree in biomedical science. Dr. Kleinman continued to pursue higher education and obtained her medical degree also from Nova Southeastern University.
After completing her residency at Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, Florida, Dr. Kleinman worked for several hospital systems as an attending physician in emergency medicine, providing excellent care to her patients. Tina McCurry, APRN is a graduate of Vero Beach High School and long-time Indian River County resident. She brings over 15 years of nursing expertise in critical care and surgery across local hospitals. Tina is always advancing in her field as a nurse practitioner where she will be specializing in vascular surgery and wound care.
Ravi Rao, MD, FACC, FSCAI, is an interventional cardiologist at Heart Care Centers of Florida, with offices in Titusville, and Merritt Island, Florida. Dr. Rao is board-certified in cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology, interventional cardiology, and vascular ultrasound.
