Laura April Gago, MD, is a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist and infertility
specialist, as well as the medical director of Gago Center for Fertility, serving the
Midwest.

After graduating from medical school at the University of California at San Diego, Dr.
Gago returned to Ann Arbor to complete her obstetrics and gynecology residency at
the University of Michigan.

Following her residency, Dr. Gago went on to complete a fellowship at Wayne State
University in Detroit, a three year fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and
infertility there she ultimately accepted an assistant clinical professor position. Just
one year later, Dr. Gago became the University of Michigan In Vitro Fertilization Medical Director, during which time she developed the Fertility Preservation Program and the Donor Oocyte Program.

Born and raised in Walled Lake, Michigan, she has deep roots in the local community. Dr. O'Shell earned her bachelor's degree in human biology from Michigan State University in East Lansing before obtaining her medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine in Barbados. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan.

Dr. Corsi has been practicing OB/GYN medicine for 23 years in private practice. Upon completion of his medical residency from Wayne State University he joined the practice of Associated Obstetrics and Gynecology with offices in both Bloomfield Hills and Clarkston. Dr. Corsi grew up in southeastern Michigan and feels very much ‘at home’ serving the community in which he was raised. He is currently the director of Minimally Invasive GYN Robotic Surgery at St Joseph Mercy Hospital. Here he has educated and trained many residents over the years in minimally invasive gynecological surgery. Dr. Corsi specializes in complex gynecological issues using robotics including: removal of uterine fibroids to preserve fertility, treatment of endometriosis and treatment of pelvic prolapse. Dr. Kondratenko's journey began at St. Mary's College of Notre Dame in Indiana for her undergraduate education, followed by Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing for medical school and residency training at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan.

Dr. Kondratenko is a pioneer in robotic surgery and integrates holistic practices with Western medicine, focusing particularly on endometriosis. Gwen Goodrow, MD, is a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist. She started her educational career as a IVF  technician in the laboratory when IVF was just a newly emerging technique to help couples have a child when they were otherwise unsuccessful. After realizing how much she loved working with people directly , she decided she wanted to be a Reproductive Specialist and decided to go to medical school. She graduated from medical school at the University of Toronto in Toronto, Canada and completed a 5-year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mcmaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. She then completed her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont. Dr. Goodrow returned to Canada to take a position as Associate Professor at Mcmaster University where she enjoyed teaching medical students and residents, conducted research in infertility and provided care to couples at the Hamilton Health Sciences  IVF clinic. The opportunity arose to join one of the largest IVF practices in Toronto Canada as a partner in 2007 which she did for 14 years. During this time, she lead innovative projects at the clinic such as egg freezing for fertility preservation, utilization of fresh donor eggs and the adoption of vitrification Wishing to help couples in their fertility journey in less serviced areas outside of the big city of Toronto, Dr Goodrow then worked for a few years at a smaller clinic in Ontario. In the changing world of IVF, the opportunity came to join Dr Gago at Gago Fertility in Michigan and the rest is history.

Dr. Goodrow is an enthusiastic  animal lover, an avid gardener and an  active horse-rider. When she is not helping fertility patients, she is working hard to look after her “fur babies”.

Lana Powell, MD, provides personalized care to her patients at Comprehensive Women’s Health, with locations in Oxford and Birmingham, Michigan. She is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with more than 27 years of experience.

A Michigan native, Dr. Powell has remained in her home state throughout her career. She attended the Wayne State University of Medicine in Detroit and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, where she continues to be a part of the attending staff. She was also previously a faculty physician at the University of Michigan, specializing in general obstetrics and gynecology.

Dr. Powell is known for having a very warm bedside manner and making her patients feel at home. Buffie started her nursing career in the United States Army as a combat medic. She went on to earn her associate’s degree in nursing from San Antonio College in Texas, her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, and her Master of Science in Nursing as a certified nurse-midwife from Wayne State University.  

She has traveled extensively, following her husband’s military career, and has been blessed to work in many different areas of nursing, including pediatrics, labor and delivery, postpartum, and outpatient women’s health. Buffie was a certified childbirth educator and instructed classes in Kansas, West Virginia, and South Korea. She is also a certified physical fitness instructor-trainer for the US Army Pregnancy Physical Training Program.

Buffie is an all-time favorite and has quite an amazing reputation. She provides intensely personal and loving care to all of her patients. 

Her professional passions include pregnancy and childbirth education, family planning, and menopausal issues. Buffie’s personal passions include spending time with her husband, sons, and grandson. Together, they enjoy boating, water skiing, doing yard work, and playing with the family dog.

Dr. Dhir grew up in Clarkston, Michigan. She attended Michigan State University in East Lansing for her undergraduate training, followed by West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine for her medical degree. Dr. Dhir completed her residency at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. 

During residency, she served as Resident Education Chair and joined the Obstetric Initiative Committee, where she worked toward improvement initiatives in maternity care. Dr. Dhir received certifications in Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery, as well as the da Vinci (R) Robotic System. She also had the honor of working as Chief Resident in her final year.

Megan Nelson, MSN, CNM, is a certified nurse-midwife on the team at Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C. She cares for patients throughout Rochester Hills, Troy, and Lenox, Michigan.

Megan completed her Master of Science in Nurse Midwifery at the University of Michigan. Prior to earning her Master's degree, she received her Associate of Science in Nursing from Palomar College in California and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Boise State University. During her time in California, Megan served as a volunteer doula. She also worked as a labor and delivery nurse at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan, from 2019 to 2022. 

At Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C., Megan's professional passions include providing holistic and trauma-informed care, supporting physiologic labor, perinatal mental health, and advocating for patient autonomy. Outside of the midwifery world, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, Blake and Colton. She also loves good wine, food, and coffee!

Soyoun Bark, M.D., is a dedicated obstetrician and gynecologist on the team at Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C. She provides high-quality care to women throughout Rochester Hills, Troy and Lenox, Michigan. 

Dr. Bark was born in Incheon, South Korea, but spent most of her life in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she still has family. She received her Bachelor of Science in biochemistry at the University of Washington before pursuing her medical degree at the University of Nevada. 

In 2014, Dr. Bark moved to Michigan, where she completed her residency at Beaumont Royal Oak. As a resident, she was given the Excellence of Laparoscopic Surgery Award. She is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. 

At Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C., Dr. Bark specializes in high-risk obstetrics, minimally invasive surgery, and adolescent gynecology.

Jill Page, M.D., has been in practice for 20 years and specializes in gynecology at Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C. Dr. Page strives to provide compassionate care to patients in Rochester Hills, Troy and Lenox, Michigan. 

Dr. Page attended the University of Michigan for her undergraduate degree and earned her medical degree from Wayne State University. She went on to complete her residency at the Detroit Medical Center/Sinai Hospital, where she received the Resident of Excellence Award in Laparoscopy and the Resident Research Award. She was also named a Top Doc in Hour Detroit Magazine.

Dr. Page is passionate about her work and has enjoyed caring for her patients in all phases of their lives. She is especially interested in adolescent gynecology and menopause management. Dr. Page is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. 

On a personal note, Dr. Page is married to Dr. Tim Page, and they have three sons and a daughter. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her two dogs.

Dr. Chae was born in South Korea and moved to Canada with her family at a young age. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Biotechnology at University of Windsor where she also received her Master of Business Administration which she completed in Rouen, France. She worked in hospital administration in Toronto before pursuing her medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine.

During her medical school, she was recognized for her service to the community and received the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award for her compassion in delivery of care, respect for patients and their families. She completed her residency at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak and was active in the Michigan Section of American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Chae is passionate about women’s health and empowering women through education and advocacy. She enjoys taking care of patients at all stages of life. Her clinical interests include minimally invasive surgical techniques including robotic surgery, general and high risk obstetrics, contraception counseling and menstrual irregularities. She values providing individualized care and shared-decision making with her patients.

Lauren Shaddox, MSN, CNM, is a certified nurse-midwife on the team at Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C., which has offices in Rochester Hills, Troy, and Lenox, Michigan. 

Lauren completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Prior to earning her Master’s degree, she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish language and literature from the University of Colorado.

Before moving to Michigan with her family, Lauren worked for over a decade as a nurse and a midwife at a large hospital in Dallas, Texas, where she cared for thousands of families with a specific focus on individualized and supportive care. Lauren is grateful for every patient and family she has ever served, because each one has taught her important lessons about life and the art and science of midwifery.

Lauren’s professional interests include patient-centered care and shared decision-making, trauma-informed care, perinatal mental health, and breastfeeding support. Lauren is fluent in Spanish.

In her free time, Lauren enjoys time outdoors with her husband and children, exercising, catching up with friends and colleagues, and knitting and sewing.

James McBride, M.D., is a dedicated pro-life OB/GYN and co-founder of Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C. He sees patients in Rochester Hills, Troy and Lenox, Michigan, at all three of the practice's offices.

Dr. McBride has helped instill the belief that compassionate, sensitive patient care provided in state-of-the-art facilities reflects unyielding respect for the patient. He has a special interest in high-risk obstetrics, infertility, and minimally invasive surgery. 

Dr. McBride earned his medical degree from MSU College of Human Medicine, followed by a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, finishing in 1998.

Dr. McBride is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He also belongs to the Christian Medical and Dental Society of America.
