Dr. Vivian E. Roston is an experienced and respected Ob/gyn with over 35 years of medical and academic experience. Vivian Edith Roston, MD born and raised in Queens NY, is a true New Yorker. Dr. Roston received her BA from John Hopkins University in June of 1984 then came back to NY to earn her MD at University of Rochester’s School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1991. After graduating, she completed her residency program at the Harlem Hospital in 1993. After her residency, Dr. Roston has worked as a physician in several hospitals and clinics including New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University, AdvantageCare Physicians, St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital Center, and Locum Tenens where she made an incredible impact as a physician and an educator. Jen Wilen saw her first birth as a Peace Corps Volunteer in West Africa nearly 20 years ago and knew then that she wanted to become a midwife. After the Peace Corps, Jen got her Masters in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She then spent a decade working in global health and women's rights, spending much of that time overseas. She later obtained both her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and her Masters in Midwifery from Columbia University. Prior to joining Boro Park, Jen worked as a Certified Nurse Midwife at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center in Brooklyn. Jen speaks both Spanish and French and loves caring for women and babies from all of the wonderfully diverse communities that call Brooklyn their home.
Alina Fuchs MD MBS BS has obstetrics and gynecology and medicine in her genes. Her aunt Dr. Smekuna was the delivering OB/Gyn with her birth. Her uncle Dr. M Fuks and Dr. A. Fuks are both practicing physicians, her mother Dr. M Fuchs is a dentist. And her husband Dr. Alexeev is a current pain management fellow.
She received bachelor of science from Rutgers University. Master’s degree of biomedical sciences at UMDNJ. Medical degree from American University of Antigua, College of Medicine. She completed her internship in obstetrics and gynecology at Nassau University Medical Center and her residency training at Maimonides Medical Center where she served as a chief resident.
Dr. Fuchs offers a full spectrum of women’s health services, including pap tests, contraception counseling, STD testing, LEEP, and sterilization. After graduating she has been practicing in central New Jersey where she provides care to women in all stages of their life; from family planning to menopause. She is fluent in Russian.
