My ideal client would be someone who comes into therapy struggling with life’s problems. It could be mental health issues, addiction, relationship problems, family problems, low self-esteem, guilt and shame, or spiritual emptiness. These clients want to be able to function in their life and find some measure of meaning and purpose in order to obtain peace, serenity, and satisfaction.

My approach has always been what Carl Rogers called the power of the “therapeutic relationship”, which includes: unconditional positive regard, compassion, genuineness, empathy, and congruency. We help to empower the client by encouraging them to find their own solutions, which always lie within them. One of my specialties is exploring spirituality.

Empathy is built by establishing a trusting relationship and letting the client know that you fully accept them for who they are. This relationship encourages self exploration, catharsis, and taking positive risks which foster personal growth. Patricia Tagamolila MD is a board certified OB/GYN who grew up in Arlington Heights and graduated with a bachelor's degree at the University of Illinois, where she remained to complete a joint MD/MBA degree.

Dr. Tagamolila went on to do her OB/GYN residency at University of Illinois at Chicago. Since completing her residency, she has been practicing in the Chicago suburbs.

Her areas of interest include prenatal care, abnormal uterine bleeding, cervical dysplasia and complex contraception. Dr. Tagamolila prioritizes providing compassionate and thorough evidence-based care. She empowers patients to make informed decisions about their health by welcoming questions, addressing their concerns, and providing education.

Dr. Kryukov attended medical school at I.K. Akhunbaev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy Faculty of General Medicine, located in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. She completed further medical training at Henry Ford Hospital, located in Detroit, Michigan.

Dr. Kryukov has wanted to be an OB/GYN since she was a teenager, so that she could provide primary care to women through all stages of their lives. Louisa Griggs, MD, FACOG, is excited to be the newest member of the team at Advanced OB/GYNE Associates, located in Hoffman Estates and Arlington Heights, Illinois, and serving the greater Chicagoland area.

Dr. Griggs earned her medical degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She completed her residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, located in Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Griggs remembers making a hospital out of her trampoline as a little girl and pretending to deliver babies for her dolls. From that time on, she has had a strong passion for women's health which she brings to her approach towards patient care every day. Her interests include but are not limited to contraception, benign and high-risk obstetrics, traditional gynecological care, minimally invasive surgical techniques, and providing the best care possible to each patient. 

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling which allowed her to spend a year in Ecuador enhancing her Spanish speaking skills, and spending time with her husband as they explore the Northwest suburbs.

Andrea Das, MD, FACOG is a skilled OB/GYN who specializes in women’s health, providing the highest standard of care for Chicagoland women at Advanced OB/GYNE Associates in Hoffman Estates and Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Dr. Das attended medical school at Calcutta National Medical College in Kolkata, India, before completing her residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Maureen Tart, MD, FACOG, MSCP, is a board-certified OB/GYN.  Before joining the practice in 2011, Dr. Tart practiced in Chicago for over a decade.  She served as Co-Medical Director of her group and held the role of Vice Chair of the OB/GYN department for several years.

Originally from Connecticut, Dr. Tart moved to Chicago for her residency training and has since built a career dedicated to women’s health. She earned both her undergraduate degree in psychology and her medical degree from Georgetown University before completing her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Chicago Hospitals. During her residency, she served as the academic chief resident and trained alongside Dr. Heather B. Heiberger, MD, FACOG, and Dr. Elizabeth Oh, MD, FACOG.

Dr. Tart has a special interest in adolescent health, weight management, infertility care, and menopause management. As a MSCP - Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, she is dedicated to guiding patients through every stage of life with personalized, compassionate care. She views her role as an OB/GYN as a partnership—helping patients navigate their health from adolescence through menopause while building lasting relationships with them and their families.

Outside of work, Dr. Tart stays busy with her boys, two Spring Spaniels, yoga, and racquet sports. Her youngest was adopted domestically, which has made adoption advocacy a cause close to her heart. Dr. Elizabeth Oh, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified OB/GYN. She has been a dedicated member of the practice since 2004.

Dr. Oh earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from Northwestern University before obtaining her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2000. She then completed her OB/GYN residency at the University of Chicago Hospitals, where she served as academic chief resident. Emily Forsythe is a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) and women's health care provider at Yorktown Health, a multispecialty practice dedicated to compassionate, holistic, individualized care for women in Lombard, Illinois. As a midwife and nurse practitioner, Emily brings a whole-person, patient-centered approach to every visit, supporting women through every stage of life. 

She is a recent Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) graduate with comprehensive clinical experience in midwifery care, obstetric care, and gynecologic care. Emily earned her DNP through the dual Nurse-Midwifery/Women's Health Nurse Practitioner program at Georgetown University, and also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Northern Arizona University.

Shawn Davies, MD, is an experienced OB/GYN at Yorktown Health, located in Lombard, Illinois. He has over 22 years of experience with interests in both Obstetrics and Gynecology. His goal has always been to provide the best-individualized care possible to reach the best outcome.  

Dr. Davies attended college at Texas A&M University where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets for four years. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree, he attended medical school at Rush Medical College from 1990 to 1994. He completed his residency training at Rush University Medical Center from 1994 to 1998 in Obstetrics and Gynecology. 

Dr. Davies was board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in December 2000. He has been actively practicing as an attending physician since July 1998. Dr. Hawkins was born just outside of Chicago in Evergreen Park. He earned his undergraduate degree from Benedictine College, located in Lisle, Illinois, followed by his medical degree from the Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois. Dr. Hawkins then completed his subsequent residency at the John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, located in Chicago.

Today, Dr. Hawkins is a registered vascular technologist and a registered physician in vascular interpretation. Mary Faith Terkildsen, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN and AASECT-certified sex counselor at Beyond Gyne Health in Gurnee, Illinois. She is passionate about helping women feel their best at every stage of life, with a special focus on sexual wellness and menopause care.

Dr. Terkildsen earned both her undergraduate degree in psychology and neuroscience and her medical degree from Tulane University, then completed her OB/GYN residency at Northwestern University’s Prentice Women’s Hospital, where she served as administrative chief resident.

Over the years, she discovered that many women have questions about sexual health that aren’t often addressed in traditional medical care. Wanting to change that, she pursued additional training at the University of Michigan and became certified by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT). In 2022, she launched a Women’s Sexual Health program and partnered with the Kellogg Cancer Center to support women during and after cancer treatment. Inspired by her patients’ needs, she expanded her work to include menopause and hormone therapy, earning her Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) designation in 2025.

Dr. Terkildsen is active in national organizations dedicated to women’s sexual health and serves as a Fellow of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH), where she contributes to the Fellowship Committee.

Outside of work, Dr. Terkildsen loves to cook, plan parties, and volunteer her time to support women and healthcare professionals running for public office. She and her husband enjoy traveling with their two adult children and spending cozy time at home with their beloved and spoiled cats, Rocky & Adrian.
