Rabah Qadir, MD, is also known as The Bone Fixer™. As a board certified, orthopedic trauma fellowship trained surgeon, Dr. Qadir specializes in managing the full spectrum of musculoskeletal injuries. From simple fractures and sports injuries to severely injured polytrauma patients, Dr. Qadir prioritizes the injured patient. He offers same day evaluation and early surgery, if indicated, to help injured patients return to their pre-injury state as soon as possible. The elective side of his practice involves arthroscopic surgery and joint replacement of all major joints, being one of the first adopters of the direct anterior hip replacement and robotic assisted knee replacement in his region. Additionally, Dr. Qadir offers limb lengthening surgery, for both traumatic leg length discrepancy as well as bilateral procedures for those patients who wish to be taller.
Dr. Qadir earned his bachelor’s degree from Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey. He graduated with honors while participating in varsity lacrosse and football at the Division 1 level, including an NCAA national championship lacrosse team. Dr. Qadir received his medical degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, earning numerous awards, including the E. Edward McCool Jr. Award for top surgery student, and induction into the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine Honor Society.
He continued residency training in orthopedic surgery at Boston University Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, and Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans, Louisiana. There, he trained under team doctors for the New Orleans Pelicans and the New Orleans Saints.
Dr. Qadir completed an orthopedic trauma fellowship at world-renowned R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland, which is the only freestanding trauma hospital in the country. It houses the oldest, most distinguished fellowship of its kind.
He served as either the Vice Chief or Chief of Orthopedics at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center from 2017 to 2024 and continues to help lead the orthopaedic trauma service. Under his leadership, Dr. Qadir helped the facility achieve and maintain the American College of Surgeons Level 2 Trauma Center designation.
Dr. Qadir also serves as director of the Outpatient Joint Replacement Program at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Woodlands Parkway. He’s an active member of AO Trauma, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and the Orthopaedic Trauma Association.
Dr. Qadir maintains his advanced credentials with continuing education. He’s conducted numerous research studies as a primary investigator, earning prestigious grants from Ochsner Clinic and AO North America. He’s authored numerous peer-reviewed journal article publications and presented his work locally, nationally, and internationally while earning numerous academic awards. He continues to be involved in educating other surgeons as a visiting lecturer and as a surgeon mentor.
