Dr. Myles completed his undergraduate education in 1985 at the University of California, Riverside. He then went on to obtain his medical doctor degree at the University of California, Irvine. Bruce Markman, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist at North Texas Orthopaedic & Spine in Plano, Frisco and Tyler, Texas. John Zavala, MD, is an orthopaedic surgeon at Orthopaedic Specialists of Dallas, located in Rockwall, Wylie, Forney, and Terrell, Texas.
He grew up in Dallas, Texas, and attended middle and high school at the Cistercian Preparatory School in Irving, Texas. He completed his college education at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, where he majored in history and completed his premedical studies.
Dr. Zavala earned his medical degree from the University of Texas-Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He subsequently completed his internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC.
While in residency, he served as administrative chief resident and was elected to participate in the American Orthopaedic Association Resident Leadership Forum. Following his residency training, Dr. Zavala was awarded a fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder reconstruction at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas under the direction of renowned shoulder surgeon Richard Hawkins. Dr. Burney was born in Madison, Wisconsin. His parents were both in the teaching profession and taught the importance of learning and education. Living abroad during high school, he had the unique opportunity to graduate with a secondary education certification from the University of Cambridge in England.
He returned to the University of Wisconsin in Madison to complete his undergraduate degree in medical microbiology and immunology with a special interest in communicative diseases of the third world.
Dr. Burney attended Saint George's University School of Medicine in True Blue, Grenada, and joined the Iota Epsilon Alpha International Medical Honors Society his sophomore year. He then completed his internship and orthopaedic surgical residency at Louisiana State University Shreveport, where he received several awards for excellence in basic science research and anatomy.

He was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and moved to Dallas, Texas, at the age of 17. Growing up, Dr. Volpini had a strong passion for sports, especially soccer. Dr. Volpini then went on to attend the University of North Texas and graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Biology.
Dr. Volpini earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas.
