Louis Peter Re Jr., MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with expertise in sports medicine and orthopedic trauma at his office in the Midtown West area of Manhattan, New York City. He is a fellowship-trained shoulder surgeon specializing in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, repairs and revisions of complex rotator cuff tears, and shoulder replacement surgery.
Dr. Re completed his residency in the Department of Orthopaedics at Yale University School of Medicine and completed the Arthroscopic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute. He has published several research projects involving shoulder and knee reconstructions. He has been a Clinical Instructor when he was at Yale, an Assistant Clinical Professor, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and is currently Clinical Instructor, Shoulder Reconstruction and Arthroscopy Lenox Hill Hospital.
Dr. Re is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American College of Sports Medicine.
Besides surgery, in the office he offers various forms of ultrasound-guided injection treatments including Viscosupplementation and PRP injections. He is an expert using the Ultrasound Machine to diagnose injuries and guide treatment injections.
He has been voted teacher of the year twice and is currently continuing to investigate the outcome of Graft Reconstruction for Massive Rotator Cuff Tears. Another patient-focused solution Dr. Rieber volunteered to implement was pioneering the breakthrough anesthetic drug Exparel during knee surgeries. The pain medication numbs the area where it was administered for up to three days, providing more comfort to the patient post-surgery. Dr. Rieber's patients claimed that their life had improved only a week after surgery because of greater mobility.

Steve Paragioudakis, MD, is an experienced orthopedic spine surgeon at the Center for the Functional Restoration of the Spine, with locations in Shrewsbury, Toms River, and Edison, New Jersey.
