About Maitreyi Shukla, DPT, Board-Certified Clinical Geriatric Physical Therapist GCS

Dr. Maitreyi Shukla, PT, DPT, MS, Board-Certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist has over 10 years of experience. She finished her undergraduate studies in India and since has unending dedication towards patient care while working in various clinical settings with a focus on evidence-based care. She came to the USA to pursue her Masters in Rehabilitation Sciences from the prestigious University of Pittsburgh with a concentration in orthopedic rehabilitation. Since her graduation, she has worked in an outpatient setting with an emphasis on hands-on care while helping complex patients suffering from a myriad of problems achieve their goals. She simultaneously has pursued her passion for learning by achieving her DPT as well as on keeping her education current while pursuing various programs including taping, PNF, and manual therapy. She most recently was named as a board-certified clinical specialist in geriatrics by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialities (ABPTS) of American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Dr. Marcelo del Rio, PT, DPT has been a physical therapist for 5 years. Marcelo received my Doctorate Degree at Long Island University - Brooklyn. He has been in out-patient PT for 3 years is now doing in-home physical therapy with Reddy Care. His favorite condition to treat would include any neurological condition (Parkinoson's, MS etc.) as he is able to utilize his knowledge to help improve these patients' functional ability.

Stan has eight years of experience, spending his last three years with Reddy Care. I began in Reddy Care’s home therapy program, where I was for two years, and now I am working in the clinic. I support all of the therapists at the Great Neck location, along with the techs and the front desk. I ensure that patient care is optimal and that every patient has a pleasant experience and that they reach their treatment goals.

Stelios Liotopoulos, PTA joined Reddy Care Physical Therapy in December of 2008, however, he began practicing in 1994. Stelios enjoys his career and his ability to interact with his patients. Stelios moved to the United States in 1989 when he was 22 years old and began working for his uncle in the fur import and export business. While working there, he attended classes to learn English. In his free time, he played soccer as it was a passion of his since he was young. Stelios played on a semi-professional team in both Greece and the US, and his passion for sports spurred his interest in physical education and exercise physiology which he studied at Queens College. Over time, he because more familiar with physical therapy as a profession and later switched majors to pursue his degree as a physical therapy assistant from LaGuardia Community College. Over the last 25 years, he has been practicing physical therapy. Stelios has also taken many continuing education courses that involve manual techniques. The techniques he has learned allow him to enhance the way he treats his patients and help to improve their recovery to get them back to their daily activities free from pain and discomfort.

Dr. Darnell Peters, PT, DPT graduated from Andrew’s University with a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy in 2010. He has since worked in various settings from acute care, inpatient rehab, outpatient clinics, aqua-therapy, and home care and has over 10+ years of experience as a PT.
