Carter Richards, MD, is an experienced neurologist with a calling to work with children. Through his practice at Texas Pediatric Specialties and Family Sleep Center, Dr. Richards is able to create meaningful change in the lives of families from in and around the Alamo Heights, Shavano Park, and Lockhill-Selma areas of San Antonio, Texas.
Education has always been a central part of Dr. Richards’ life. He first became interested in medicine while working as a dialysis patient care technician. He pursued his medical degree at St. Louis University School of Medicine in Missouri and remained there to finish his residency.
Dr. Richards is also board certified in neurology and holds special qualifications in pediatric neurology. While completing his training, Dr. Richards enjoyed sharing his knowledge through various instructor roles. He has also lectured trainees on numerous pediatric neurology topics.
In his role at Texas Pediatric Specialties and Family Sleep Center, Dr. Richards offers comprehensive diagnostic and treatment for a wide range of neurological conditions. He finds his work deeply rewarding and loves earning smiles from those in his care.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Richards makes time to connect with his wife and their two dogs. The family loves spending time outdoors, a very different environment from Elma, Washington, where Dr. Richards grew up.

Dr. Tomasovic retired from Texas Pediatric Specialties and Family Sleep Center on 11/15/2018. Although he is no longer seeing patients in the clinic, he is continuing with his passion for research at Road Runner Research. Please visit Road Runner Research for active research studies.
Dr. Jerry Tomasovic attended medical school at the University of Chicago. He served 20 years in the Air Force, entering private practice in San Antonio in 1985. He established Road Runner Research focusing on research related to neurologic and pulmonary disease. He is board-certified in Pediatrics and Neurology. He specializes in neurological disorders, sleep disorders, movement disorders, and ADHD. Medicine is his life!
