After graduating from the University of California at Berkeley with Honors, Dr. Kamayani Khare went on to medical school at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. She completed her intern year and neurology residency at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston. During her neurology residency, she served as a Chief Neurology Resident. She went on to complete 2 years of neurophysiology fellowship (focus in Epilepsy) at University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston and Houston Methodist Hospital, respectively.
After fellowship, Dr. Khare practiced general neurology (with interest in epilepsy) in private practice at Kelsey Seybold clinic and CHI/Baylor ST Luke’s Medical Center for 9+ years. She further expanded her clinical expertise and worked as a Neurohospitalist at UTHealth-The University of Texas Health Sciences Center. Her practice involved providing acute neurological care via Teleneurology to community hospitals and education for medical students and residents.

Dr. Onigu-Otite (Dr. Otite) is a triple-board-certified psychiatrist with expertise in Child, Adolescent, Addiction, and Adult Psychiatry. She earned her medical degree from the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria; completed her General Psychiatry residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston; and advanced fellowships in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
Dr. Otite previously served as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University and Medical Director of the Center for Child and Family Traumatic Stress at Kennedy Krieger Institute. She is now a Full Professor at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Otite is known for her specialized care for complex ADHD, severe mood and behavioral disorders, trauma-related conditions, and addictive behaviors in children and adolescents, and integrates motivational interviewing to support mental and physical well-being.
Omotayo Sofela, PMHNP, is a board-certified mental health nurse practitioner at Abisom Behavioral Health LLC, a mental health practice located in Houston, Texas and Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her training and nursing experience have expanded nearly two decades of working in various nursing settings.
Omotayo received her Bachelor of Science degree from York University in Toronto, Canada, and her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Walden University.

She later relocated to the United States to work in the med/surg unit at Willis Knighting Hospital, Shreveport, Louisiana. Richard Young, DNP, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC is an experienced psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Lifespan Psychiatry & Wellness Center in Houston, Texas. Dedicated to serving his patients and aiming to provide the highest standard of mental health care, Richard is known for delivering care with excellence and integrity.
Richard has over 25 years of staff Registered Nursing experience spanning nephrology, psychiatry, intensive care, education, information technology, and skilled nursing. He also has over 5 years of Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing practice experience and 7years of Family Nursing practice experience in outpatient clinics and correctional facilities.
Dr. Young received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas in 1993. He went on to obtain a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Frontier Nursing University (Versailles, KY) in 2013 and began working as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
In 2020, Richard completed a Post Masters Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Practice at FNU and opened Lifespan Psychiatry and Wellness Center with Vivian Young, PMHNP. Richard graduated with his Doctor of Nursing Practice from FNU in 2024.
Taking an evidence-based and comprehensive approach to care, Dr. Young leads with medication management and provides combined support therapy. He specializes in assisting patients with different mental disorders, including anxiety, ADHD, Autism, depression, Bipolar disorder, PTSD, Schizophrenia, and dementia.
Dr. Young typically sees patients later in the afternoon and early evening, around 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. He warmly welcomes all patients to the Lifespan Psychiatry & Wellness Center and looks forward to caring for them across their lifespan.

Pablo is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who specializes in providing care to individuals of all ages. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas A&M Corpus Christi and later completed his Master of Science at Northern Kentucky University. Throughout his nursing career, Pablo has worked in various settings, including outpatient clinics, residential facilities, and correctional institutions, where he treated a wide range of mental health disorders and substance abuse issues.
In addition to his clinical work, Pablo has held leadership roles aimed at delivering compassionate mental health care. He is dedicated to offering quality, evidence-based treatment while empowering patients to take an active role in their own care. As a bilingual provider, Pablo advocates for reducing mental health stigma within the Latino and Hispanic communities.
