She has 5+ years of nursing experience in behavioral health and dual diagnosis and 2 years of nursing and care coordination experience working with social determinants of health. She has experience with patients across the lifespan and is particularly interested in ADHD, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Depression, Schizophrenia, and Substance Use Disorders. She has mentored nursing students at various colleges in Central Massachusetts.

She is passionate about utilizing a holistic approach individualized to each patient, encompassing their culture and preferences to the greatest extent. Naika is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with ten years of experience providing therapy, treatment, and services to children, youth, and families. Using a trauma-informed and culturally-sensitive lens, she has worked with individuals presenting with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ADHD, depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma- and stressor-related disorders, and personality disorders. As a social worker, Naika has provided treatment in community-based organizations, residential treatment programs, and in the home setting, often working with the underrepresented and underserved. She believes that everyone has a right to emotional wellbeing, and strives to empower others to develop and maintain a sense of self. Naika approaches therapy with attunement, empathy, validation, and active listening to build a rapport and create an environment that is inviting, safe, and supportive.

My nursing philosophy has remained the same over the last 20 years: Every client receives the same level of care equal to what is expected for a member of my own family. Together, we will work as a team to develop a treatment plan achieving positive outcomes based on evidence based practice standards.
