Samuel Apeatu, MD, is a skilled, board-certified neurologist practicing at Complete Neurological Care. The practice has locations in Forest Hills and Queens, and the Financial District, Midtown, and in Manhattan, plus Valley Stream and Hicksville, New York. Dr. Apeatu obtained his medical degree from the University of Ghana Medical School in West Africa. Dr. Stringel earned her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and then completed a 5-year residency in child neurology at Cohen Children’s Medical Center, affiliated with Northwell Health, in Queens, New York. Dr. Miller began her career in psychiatry at Weill Cornell in the emergency room, where she trained through Payne Whitney Psychiatric Clinic. Following years of providing psychotherapy and working at Montefiore Medical Center, Margaret returned to Columbia University for a Master’s in Nursing, followed by a Doctorate of Nursing Practice with a clinical focus on psychopharmacology. She has presented work on reducing stigma and improving mental health care delivery at several conferences and is the recipient of multiple scholarly awards.

Frederick S. Starr, MD, FAACAP, is a computational neuroscientist who has been active in the fields of Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) and neurofeedback since 1990. He sees patients at Myneurva Brain Centers in Hackensack, New Jersey. 

Dr. Starr formally began integrating neurofeedback into clinical practice in 2003 and went on to pioneer large-scale Remote Neurofeedback in 2006, expanding access to innovative brain-based therapies well before telehealth became mainstream. As the founder of Myneurva Holdings, DE, he is also the inventor of a novel system and method for collecting and analyzing EEG data, for which he was awarded a U.S. Patent in 2020.

His professional mission is deeply personal. His eldest daughter, Anna, suffered from medication-resistant epilepsy, and her condition inspired his lifelong commitment to advancing brain imaging and neurofeedback technologies for individuals with complex neurological and psychiatric disorders. After Anna’s tragic passing from a fatal seizure in 2008, he embarked on a profound personal journey that took him from northern Maine to Hawaii, the Dominican Republic, and Costa Rica. These experiences broadened his understanding of the global burden of mental illness and strengthened his resolve to develop more accessible, effective solutions.

Nauman Ramay, MD, is a board-certified adult psychiatrist at Westwood Psychiatry Associates in Westwood, New Jersey. Dr. Ramay finds that he has the greatest impact on helping his patients achieve their goals when taking a patient-centered and collaborative approach to care.
