Athi P. Venkatesh, MD, is a skilled, compassionate, and board-certified Doctor of Medicine at Kingwood Psychiatry. Dr. Venkatesh specializes in General Psychiatry and provides high-quality care for children, adolescents, and adults in Kingwood and Shenandoah, Texas.
Education has always been of importance to Dr. Venkatesh. He graduated from Tirunelveli Medical College (TVMC) in India and received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS).
From 1992 to 1996, Dr. Venkatesh worked at a Private Practice in India. He completed his Residency in Psychiatry at the Institute of Mental Health Center Christian Medical College (CMC) in Vellore, India.
In 1999, Dr. Venkatesh moved to the United States of America to further his education and career. He fulfilled an externship in Psychiatry at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Elmhurst Hospital in New York City, New York.
Next, he completed his professional training and Residency in Psychiatry at Scott & White Hospital Texas A&M University (now called Baylor Scott & White Hospital) in Temple, Texas.

Yenis has been working in the mental health field for the past 6 years. She believes that mental health care works best when it’s built on trust, respect, and collaboration. Salih Selek, MD is a psychatrist serving patients at CyFair Psychiatry, at their location in Houston, Texas. Dr. Selek has been in academic psychiatry for over ten years. He has published over 100 articles, book chapters, and scientific presentations. He is the editor of the book “Different Views of Anxiety Disorders” that has been downloaded about 100.000 times. He has trained many students, residents and specialists. Dr. Selek has also brought novel treatments to Houston for mood disorders. His extensive educational experience in mental health broadens his approach to diagnosis and treatment of complex issues. He still serves on editorial boards of scholarly journals.
