Anne Bartolucci, PhD, CBSM, is a licensed clinical psychologist and board-certified behavioral sleep medicine specialist at Atlanta Insomnia and Behavioral Health Services, PC, in Decatur, Georgia. Dr. Bartolucci goes beyond standard sleep hygiene therapies, designing each patient a personalized treatment plan to address their specific sleep challenges.
In addition to her certification in behavioral sleep medicine (CBSM), Dr. Bartolucci qualified as a Diplomate in Behavioral Sleep Medicine (DBSM). Her educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in psychology and mathematics from Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama, and a master’s degree in psychology from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia.
Dr. Bartolucci completed her predoctoral internship at the Central Arkansas Veterans’ Health Administration in Little Rock, Arkansas, and earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of Georgia. She began her career at a specialized sleep disorders center and is an adjunct faculty volunteer for the Emory Sleep Medicine Fellowship program.
Over the years, Dr. Bartolucci has gained considerable experience in diagnosing and treating numerous sleep disorders, including insomnia and nightmares, and has worked with a diverse range of patients. She also helps people with mental health problems like depression and anxiety that often affect patients’ ability to sleep.
Dr. Bartolucci is an expert in cognitive-behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) and trains other psychologists in this treatment. She is a member of the Society for Behavioral Sleep Medicine and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

My focus as a psychiatrist is to apply how our brains interact with our environment to affect our spiritual, social, and functional well-being. I view the biology and psychology behind mental illness as intrinsically connected, and thus psychiatric treatment may involve psychotherapy, medications, or both.
My role as your physician is to 1) listen to your experience to understand you, your goals, and your concerns, 2) help you understand the biology and psychology behind your symptoms, and 3) develop an individualized medical plan to meet your specific goals.
I completed my residency in psychiatry at the Medical University of South Carolina and an additional fellowship in forensic psychiatry at Emory University. I am board-certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. During my medical training, I received numerous awards for clinical practice; teaching; and humanistic, patient-centered care.
I believe that a combination of skilled psychotherapy and proper medication management helps people recover faster. My goal is to get you back to living your life to its fullest as quickly as possible.
I completed my psychiatric residency at Emory University in 2008. I am board certified and recognized as a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. As a former attending psychiatrist at Ridgeview Institute, I have extensive experience helping people with primary psychiatric issues and dual diagnosis.
Gowri Thummala, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist who began her medical career journey in India and completed her residency training at the University of Central Florida. She brings a wide range of experience treating a mental health conditions, including unipolar depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorder. She has a particular interest in supporting individuals living with depression, anxiety, and ADHD.
Dr. Thummala’s background includes work in both inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as advanced treatments such as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and esketamine therapy. She also holds a certification in reproductive psychiatry through Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Thummala believes every person’s path to healing is unique. Her approach is collaborative—working closely with her patients to explore treatment options that best fit their needs, with the shared goal of finding meaningful relief and renewed hope.
Outside of work, you’ll often find her playing with her three dogs, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, or getting lost in a good book. From September through February, though, she’s a devoted NFL fan—go Bucs!
