During her fellowship, she became a certified facilitator of the Circle of Security International Early Intervention Program for Parents and Children (an attachment-based, reflective parenting program), facilitating groups for new mothers at UCLA’s Perinatal Intensive Outpatient Program. Dr. Kim earned her BA in Music with a minor in Biology and Chemistry. In addition to her expertise in psychopharmacology, Dr. Kim is well-versed in several evidence-based psychotherapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. She also has experience in neuromodulation, specifically transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).
Outside of her professional life, and as a classically trained violinist, Dr. Kim regularly enjoys playing and performing music with friends. Dr. Eipl graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Johns Hopkins University with a degree in neuroscience. After college, she joined AmeriCorps and spent a year working at a free clinic in Rhode Island. She was also involved in research on Alzheimer’s Disease at Johns Hopkins and the University of Chicago.
Dr. Eipl later attended medical school at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Dr. Smolarek graduated Phi Beta Kappa from UC Berkeley with a degree in Religious Studies. Although she pursued medical training to enter palliative care, she could not escape the allure of focusing on internal experience, meaning, and personal narrative in the specialty of Psychiatry.
Dr. Smolarek graduated from UCLA medical school with a leadership award and induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society for her merits in compassionate care. During Psychiatry Residency at UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute, she and a colleague co-founded the Women in Psychiatry group in order to further the education of trainees on issues related to women. She developed curricula for medical students and residents on sexual harassment during training and delivered talks on the subject at two national conventions. Dr. Casalegno graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, San Diego, with a degree in biochemistry and cell biology. Dr. Poblete is a board-certified psychiatrist trained in the diagnosis and treatment of the full spectrum of psychiatric and mental health disorders. He is a co-founder of Regeneration Psychiatry and sees patients virtually and in-person at our Redondo Beach, California office. He is also a clinical instructor at UCLA and at Long Beach Memorial, where he teaches and supervises medical/psychiatric residents.
Dr. Poblete has extensive experience in the management of anxiety disorders, depression, OCD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, borderline personality disorder, ADHD, and addiction. He completed his medical education at UCSF, his internship at Harbor-UCLA, and his psychiatric residency at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA.

Dr. Brittany Tarrant was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland to a family who encouraged her to follow her dreams – even if that meant humoring a 5-year-old who exclaimed that she would be a doctor one day. Dr. Tarrant went on to complete her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park. There, she discovered her love for the human brain and mental health and knew that psychiatry would be a great fit. She completed her master’s degree at Georgetown University and then her Doctor of Medicine degree at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. She then set her sights on the sunny skies and warm weather here in Los Angeles and completed her general adult psychiatric training at UCLA.
Dr. Tarrant is board-certified in Adult Psychiatry and is board-eligible for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She trained at UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience & Human Behavior and Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital, where she completed both her residency and fellowship. Dr. Tarrant is passionate about mental health and treating those who are often overlooked and forgotten in our society. Her clinical interests include treating a wide range of psychopathologies including psychotic and mood disorders, trauma, and special populations including people of color, women, children and young adults, gender and sexual minorities, veterans, and individuals involved in welfare and criminal legal systems. Outside of clinical work, Dr. Tarrant is involved in teaching, mentorship, community outreach, and various leadership positions.
