Based in Los Angeles, my training has taken me through some of the most respected institutions, including UCLA, USC, Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), and the Veterans Administration. Dr. Joshua Flatow is certified in transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), deep-brain theta stimulation, and ketamine infusions. Dr. Flatow provides a compassionate, holistic approach to patient care. Dr. Flatow is committed to excellence and positive patient outcomes. He has experience in crisis stabilization, medication management, psychotherapy, and substance abuse treatment. Dr. Flatow completed his training at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Los Angeles, and received his doctor of medicine from the Medical College of Georgia, School of Medicine.

I am practicing in Newport Beach since 1993. I completed Psychiatry Residency at King Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles in 1992 and fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry at USC Institute of Psychiatry and the Law in 1993. I have served as the Medical Director of Inpatient Psychiatry units and Partial Hospitalization Programs for over a decade. In addition I have been providing psychiatric consultations on complex, challenging patients on the medical floors and Intensive Care Units at Hoag, Fountain Valley and Orange Coast Memorial Hospital since 1994. I am also a consultant to the Emergency Rooms at these hospitals and I have extensive experience in dealing with the legal aspects of psychiatry, as well as clinical psychiatry. Venice Sanchez, MD, is a double board-certified physician, specializing in Psychiatry and Neurology as well as Addiction Medicine. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Sanchez moved to the United States from the Philippines at the age of 11. Her extensive training at multiple renowned facilities, under the guidance of experts in her field, has given her a broad and comprehensive skill set in treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions. Dr. Sanchez has worked at the Long Beach VA, various addiction rehabilitation centers, and San Diego detention facilities, gaining invaluable expertise in PTSD, substance abuse, and mood and thought disorders associated with substance use.

Dr. Sanchez has a particular focus on women’s health, especially in the treatment of pregnant and postpartum patients struggling with mental health issues. She trained with specialists at the Maternal and Fetal Clinic at UCI Medical Center and was instrumental in launching the first Women's Mental Health Medication Management Clinic at the Long Beach VA Medical Center.

Driven by her passion for her field, Dr. Sanchez has worked tirelessly to gain expertise in treating a range of psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, insomnia, and other treatment-resistant disorders. Alireza Bozorgi, MD, is a board-certified neurologist and interventional pain management physician who also specializes in epilepsy and pain management. He sees patients at Minimally Invasive Medical Group, which has offices in Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, and Irvine, California. 

He received his medical degree from Tehran, Iran. He completed a neurology residency at Tehran University. He then completed another neurology residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He obtained a subspecialty in Epilepsy in Cleveland. He worked for two years at Mercy Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio. Then, he completed a year of fellowship in pain management in Cleveland. Then, he moved to Detroit, Michigan, where he practiced for a year. He then moved to California and started to practice at Minimally Invasive Medical Group. 

Dr. Bozorgi has a wealth of research experience and has published extensively. He is a member of several professional associations, including the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry.

Alejandra Suzuki, MD, FAPA, is board-certified in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. She is also a TMS specialist and is proud to serve patients at Orange County Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Irvine, California.

Dr. Suzuki comes from Japanese background but was born and raised in Argentina. She speaks fluent English, Spanish, Japanese, and French, giving her invaluable insight and empathy for patients of different ethnicities.

Dr. Suzuki earned her medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina and completed her residency in ophthalmology, where she discovered a particular interest in neuro-ophthalmology. Dr. Suzuki attended the University of Miami to research neuro-otology but ultimately decided to pursue a psychiatry residency at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

Afterward, Dr. Suzuki completed her fellowship in child psychiatry at the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA). She also received training in transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) from Harvard Medical School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Dr. Suzuki is one of the first psychiatrists in the United States who specializes in using TMS.

Dr. Suzuki’s special interest is in the mind and brain development of children. During her fellowship, she researched autism at the Brain Research Institute at UCLA. A fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, Dr. Suzuki is also a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the Clinical TMS Society.
