He has an interest in neuromodulation and has been involved in TMS clinical trials as well as basic research in ketamine effects on neurons. He completed the Tufts Medical Scientist Training Program where he received his medical doctorate as well as a Ph.D. in Cell, Molecular, and Developmental Biology. His Ph.D. involved recreating the human neuromuscular junction with multiple cell types in 3D bio-fabricated structures in the lab. He received his training in psychiatry and psychoneuroimmunology at UCSD. In addition, he has trained as a medical acupuncturist, herbalist and homeopathic physician. Last but not least, he has specialized training in Gero-psychaitry, Correctional psychiatry, Inpatient psychiatry and mood and psychotic disorders.
Dr. Madalyn Cosensci PMHNP, DNP-BC, is a California licensed Nurse Practitioner with a Doctorate in Psychiatry. Dr. Cosensci is trained to diagnose and treat a variety of psychiatric illnesses, including, Depression, Anxiety, Personality disorders, Bipolar disorder, psychotic disorder, PTSD, ADHD, and other common and complex conditions.
Dr. Cosensci has over seven years of experience working in acute inpatient psychiatric hospitals. She prioritizes a team approach to treatment and focuses on holistic interventions to improve the quality of care. In her spare time, she works her bee-hives, and is training to run a marathon.
